She's hot if you like red neck chicks. I'm getting sick of the her country shtick though.

I didn't really care for Carly's version of "Without You." Her lower range sounded decent, but she just didn't have the chops to pull off the higher notes.
I've heard the Nilsson and Mariah versions and personally I think Mariah's version is the best and most timeless.....and it's one of my favorite pop ballads. Nilsson's version feels like an old 70's song. That's a very hard song to cover without sounding karaoke. I actually watched Leona Lewis' version (The X-Factor winner from the UK) on Youtube and I think she probably came the closest to doing the song justice.
I was a big supporter of Brooke White, but I am gradually losing confidence in her. "Hero" was simply way too big for her and even though I enjoyed her piano version in some areas, she simply doesn't have the vocal chops to handle that song.
I'm not a fan of David Cook, but I admire him for making some brave song choices and making them in a way that works for his singing style. I never thought I would her "Always be my baby" in a Creed-grunge rock style. However, I don't think he is really challenging himself vocally as he is sounding the same every week.

David Cook is rumored to be dating Lacey Schwimmer of SYTYCD.

I liked how they all changed Mariah's songs to a degree. David C went too far and as I think Das said, it was on the creepy, stalkerish side.
David A was pretty good but that guy has to start singing something uptempo. Week after week of ballads gets boring. Carly sounded fine but she couldn't belt like Mariah or Celine. Everyone was waiting for that to happen. Brooke was a mess. I think she shouldn't have even bothered to play the piano this time. It made her take her focus off of singing. I have to give Syesha credit. She has progressed.
For God's sake, get rid of Castro. He's such a dope. Literally. Take away the backing vocals and the band you could clearly hear how awful he was.

I think David A has a future career in Christian music. Michael W Smith-kinda stuff.

LOL @ people bitching about the stalker-esque nature of David Cook's rendition
Nobody seems to mind when one of the most critically acclaimed bands in the world (The Police) does it.

Can't believe they are doing that tired "let's split the group up into 2 groups of 3, and have the 7th person pick which group they think is 'safe' from elimination", and then you'll have the 7th person not pick any group (and BAM! that's the one going home).

It's not that hard of a pick... one side has David Cook and the other has Carly & Jason
edit: well, then they switched it up with a bad pun "too many Cooks in the kitchen"

I missed last night's show, but checked Dial Idol which was way off. They had KLC as safe!
And Josh, if KLC is not attractive, what do you consider attractive? David Archuleta ?

At least Archeluta did the right and obvious thing: not give in to Ryan's sick little game by sitting down. Cold to switch the girls.
I guess Syesha will be gone next week for sure.

No one in my pool picked this. Six of us has Carly. One person had Syesha and the other had Brooke. We had all given up hope that she would be voted out any time soon.
I hope Brooke has a nervous breakdown on TV.
I hope that a gang of teenage stalkers breaks into DavidA's room and kidnaps him until the show is over.

KLC: bottom 3 four times.
Syesha: bottom 3 four times and still around.
Brooke: bottom 3 two times.
Carly: bottom 3 two times.

Damn, the last cute girl left
(for what it's worth, she is NOT a representative sample of your typical girl in rural Oregon -- she's about 200 lbs too light and has about 11 too many teeth)
