I'm hoping after a pretty strong episode last week that this one will a good one! The first part of this season has been pretty disappointing. The episode last week was a good step in the right direction.

This episode could reach epic levels, depending on where they go from here.
"BOYS, HAVE YOU SEEN MY PENIS!?"
*blank stares*
"IF YOU SEE IT TRY TO CATCH IT WITH SOME CHEESE!"
*runs off*
So basic, but my God, that made me bust out laughing.

I don't think it was as strong as last week, but it was much better than the Magic Johnson or Heavy Metal episodes.
They do continue to mine some pretty way back stuff in the pop culture arena, though. Nip/Tuck riffed on the ear mouse what seems like ages ago. I'm not sure which inner city teaching film they were riffing on, but they have been doing those films for so long now that you could cast the children of the actors in some of them in sequels now. I don't demand everything be cutting edge because when it's funny it's funny. It's still just a little disturbing.
I thought most of the penis stuff played too broadly but the Cartman stuff was at least pretty close to gold. I also love the shots at the Pats.

"Then get an AIDS test 'cause your wife's a dude, faggot!"
The Mickey Mouse boner gag was priceless, as was the moment with Butters' dad. And the Cartman scenes were priceless...loved the Stand and Deliver references.
On par with last week, maybe better.
EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Garrison yanking the dude in the sauna! Just thinking about it makes me

I think for me it was just the "eek, a penis" chase that played too broadly. If Stand and Deliver was the specific movie the inner city stuff was riffing on, I have to say that the plot portion of that was a let down. In fact, the plot as a whole wasn't great. It was the little funny bits that Garrison and Cartman were able to insert into the bland plot that made the episode.

Brilliant.
They managed to get references to the ear mouse, Belicheck, Stand And Deliver, and An American Tail all in one episode.
For me, my biggest laugh was at Butters. "Ow, that made my head hurt."
Whaaaa. Only 2 more weeks.

Everytime the penis ran around floppin I almost died. And Kyle poking his finger in Cartman's chest saying that these are inner city kids and they are going to fucking kill you was classic!

When the mousepenis starting singing I lost it. I had to pause it, I was laughing so hard.
The Stand and Deliver stuff was gold.
I'm glad that Trey and Matt go back to the A-story/B-story formula once in a while. In early commentary tracks they said they were glad they didn't have to make every episode like that anymore, but sometimes it really works well.
My only disappointment was that Dr. Mephesto and Kevin weren't working in the genetics lab.

I liked the mix. Neither plot line would've worked as an entire episode. Best part was when Cartman walked into the classroom as Edward James Olmos. That's when I lost it.
Mouse with an ear and a 20 year old movie. Who says that SP needs to be current to be funny?

Butters: "Are we gonna get tested on this?"
For those not following the news, this whole thing stems from Thomas Beatie - the pregnant man. In reality, the man is a woman who had a sex change but retained her female organs which in my opinion means he is still a SHE. S/he went off testosterone in order to conceive via "home insemination". Confused? Imagine Ms. Garrison's dilemma!

For me, the when Butters and his dad were in the room looking for the mouse and he said:
Butters:
"That's teacher's penis"
Butters' Father:
"Butters, where have you seen your teacher's penis?"
I busted a gut on that one.
