Its amazing how they are able to mix and match many different eras of Batman into a workable and entertaining show.

That was a great episode. A shame the show is ending its run soon, but my understanding is that these type of shows are really advertising for the toy lines. The toy companies like a fresh show to introduce new toys every three or four years.

The Superman episode was full of Silver-Age Goodness.

This friday "Bat-Mite Presents: Batman's Strangest Cases".
Batman in a "MAD" parody.
Bat-Manga.
Batman Meets Scooby-Doo!

I want this show on Blu-Ray in the worst way. It looks spectacular in HD and DVD doesn't do it justice.

One out of three is not bad in baseball. Those first two segments did absolutely nothing for me, the MAD parody seemed to drag forever. The Scooby-Doo story was a hilarious send-up of the 70's Batman/Scooby movie though, I really wish they had used the entire episode for it.

As a fan of the original Mad story and Chip Kidd's Batmanga book it wasnthe first two i liked most. But i loved Bat-Mite changing the non-punching rule.

Quoted for truth. But we'll never see Blu-ray season sets of B:TBATB because WB hates making money.
BTW, here's the original MAD parody, with more hangings and gunplay.

I didn't like any of the three. Just too goofy.

Bat-Mite is 3 for 3. Each of his appearances has been a delight to watch.

In order from favorite to least favorite.

1) Batman and Robin meet Scooby-Doo and the gang.
Wish this part had been longer. Fred, Daphane, and Velma got the
short stick.
Love the Shark Safety tips.
Bat-Mite giving Scooby and Shagy an upgrade to take down Joker
and Penguin was FUN.
Cool part, it was animated to like the 70's Scooby movies.

2) Bat-Manga! I like most of the episode.
Until the end where Batman and Robin are giggling like schoolgirls. ODD!

3) Batboy and Rubin went on a little too long and wore out its welcome.

The Joker took over the last episode.

Teaser: Joker goes to the future to help Misfit take down Kamandi and Prince
Tuftin.
Look for a homage to "Beneath the Planet of the Apes".

Main Story opens with Joker saving The Fisherman from Batman and the Atlantis Polic Force.
Later Joker goes to the Gotham Villians Bar (first seen in "A Bat Divided" and meets The Weeper(Tim Conway).
They team up to cause wacky mayhem for Gotham and Batman.
Also there was a Flashback scene with Bulletman.

Teaser: Jungle-Clad Batman and Robin(Batman #78) along with Bat-Ape(Batman #114) stopped Catwoman from using a rare jungle flower on Batman to make him fall in love her.
I love these "Secrets of the Bat-Cave" teasers.

Main Story has Batman and Jason Blood tracking Dala from Detective Comics #31. She turns the tables on Batman and puts the bite on turning him into a Vampire.
Bats goes to the JL Satellite and confronts his team mates: Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Fire and Ice.
Great use of Atomsphere. Reminds me of the 30's/40's horror movie.

This episode was outstanding and is in my top 10 B:TB&TB episodes.

That episode might be the best of the entire series, a more involved story than this series has usually attempted. Tonight's episode with the replacement Batmen was decent.

I like the song Vigilante was singing, "Ballad of the Batman".

Catwoman in her early 70's outfit was SEXY.

I am tired of the Joker. I know he is Batman Number One villian but he gets WAY Overused.

No new episode until May 27th. Wonder Woman will make her debut in the opener.

"Night of the Batmen" tweaked my trivial mind, yet again, with Joker's midget sidekick.

This was the only appearance of Gaggy (some name, huh?) in the comics and they even recreated this scene with Gaggy jumping on Green Arrow-Batman's shoulders.

B:TB&TB is finally back.

In the opener WW saves Batman and Steve Trevor from her Arch Nazi Foe Paula Von Gunther.
Nice touch having the theme from the WW TV Series playing throughout this scene.

Main story focus on Hal(GL) and Carol(Star Sapphire).
I thought this episode did a way better job with GL then the lackluster live-action movie.

New James Tucker interview about the last episode.

The "Currys of Atlantis" was FUNNY!!!
Good to see Ray Palmer in action.

This show really has developed a unique niche in comic book animation. It's like an amalgam of many different eras of comics. It simply works beyond reason.

I believe the Space Ghost opening will be on this coming friday.

Last friday had the opener with the Baseball game between the Heroes and the Villians.
Main Story. Tried of losing: Joker, Lex Luthor, and Cheetha trade off.
Joker gasses Wonder Woman, Cheetha Claws Superman, and Luthor out thinks Batman.
Even Alfred gets in on the action. Plus Vicki Vale, Lois, Jimmy, Perry, Steve Trevor, and Queen Hippolyta
make an appearance.
Plus there is a special appearance by Prez, The Teenage President.

I missed that episode, for some reason my DVR recorded an episode of Ben 10 (or something like that) instead, I wonder if CN aired Brave and the Bold at the wrong time?

Ditto, but we don't get Cartoon Network OnDemand. Looks like YouTube might be our only option to watch this missed episode I hope the same thing doesn't happen this Friday.

Great opening with Space Ghost. Great episode overall w/Green Arrow,Plastic Man,Aquaman and Mr. Freeze.
Would love to see a Space Ghost/Birdman animated series(throw in Mighty Mightor and Galaxy Trio).
When does the new Green Lantern animated series start?

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

I've been enjoying the openings more then the show after the credits, except for the baseball game. That was awful.
They should have done an entire episode on that and actually paid some money to make the animation look good.

PhantomStranger 10-16-11 11:55 PM

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Agreed, the baseball opening should have been expanded to an entire episode. Apparently Cartoon Network may not air a couple of the B:TBATB episodes already completed for content reasons. They have already aired in Europe or somewhere.
