I really like the show, but I don't know why it didn't get lambasted by the critics like Viva Laughlin did for being a semi-musical. There are definitely some episodes that have more musical sequences than the two episodes of Viva Laughlin did.

I wouldn't call it a semi-musical. Sure, there is singing in every episode but they are very brief and there aren't many of them. I never watched Viva but I had the impression there was much more singing on that show.

Um because Viva Laughlin sucked? The musical numbers were performed for seemingly no reason/effect and the actors seemed to have been instructed to not act the song expressively. And Laughlin WAS a musical show. This show has the occasional musical number hallucination, but I'd hardly place them in the same category.

I think you're mis-remembering the Laughlin episodes you saw...

LAUGHLIN had about the same amount of musical content, including full-out song and dance routines, but what it didn't have (said the WIZARD) was a medical disease to tell us the lead was nuts.

I didn't feel like creating a new thread but the last episode was very good. Taylor, other attorney, and Eli love triangle is good. Then add Maggie so they're arguing in the office. Add Taylor's father's butting in.

Then there's the story of Eli being there in flashbacks as his father dies. You really have sympathy for the character. Good stuff. Ratings dropped this week. UGH!

Another episode airs Thursday. Reminder that it will also air this Sunday after Desperate Housewives. That should give it a little boost in the ratings.

No, the finale is schedule for next Thursday. Who knows, but I hope so. I'm fairly entertained by the show.

I hope it comes back too. I wonder if they could pull another season of George Michael songs. Maybe Prince songs will be next. :)
