Nope. Betty Brant is Peter's first love. Gwen came second then MJ.

Eh, I don't believe Peter ever truly loved Betty. They dated for what, half a dozen issues in the very beginning? I would say that was much more of a high school lust relationship than any true feelings. Gwen has always been regarded as Peter's first "true love".

Yeah, you can look at it that way. But if your going to be true to the source material as the other poster said you have to have Betty before Gwen and not ignore the fact she was the first Peter went out with before she was relegated to the background of the series.

There was a new episode today that introduce Rhino, Tombstone and Mary Jane. Aunt May is cock blocking and Eddie is trying to get some of the underage squish. All the while the spectacular spider man is trying keep horn head from killing him.

The only odd thing is Tombstone seems to be bigtime and I thought he was a hired thug in the comics.

When you watch this show, do certain scenes seem extremely bright? Such as when Peter was in school and the teacher was talking...the screen was almost all white and you could hardly see the details. You could only see like the outlines of the characters. I've noticed this same thing on the commercials for Tom and Jerry. What is it with these Kids WB shows?

No, I sure I haven't seen what you are seeing. If this isn't happening on other stations then I would think your cable provider has a problem with that station. Some cable providers are trying to way more HD channels in than they can handle. This screws of the picture quality of all channels. Not that this is the problem but I have seen side by side comparisons that prove that this can happen.

Another new episode and this time we get the Green Goblin. It was like wow, just wow. I'm pretty sure the green goblin is Harry but they really didn't say.

Peter and Mary had thier big date a the prom or some type of dance. This was all about MJ being super sexy and really cool. Kind of playing the hot girl goes out with nerd thing. This was probably half the show. Note the way Eddie acts in this episode and also note the JJ's son is in this episode. They are setting up for venom for sure.

ok, maybe i missed some episodes early, and they're just now being recorded or something...

cause they have ALL been out of order for me. The Rhino and Sandman episodes aired for me (a few weeks ago) before the episode where hammerhead engages osborne to even create the super criminals...

The new episodes are in order. The repeats are random. Sometimes they play two new episodes back to back and other times they start the hour with a old one then the new one. Sounds like you are mixing repeats and new episodes.

Hey folks,

My wife and I are really loving this version. It is amusing to see how many villains and notables they can stuff into each episode, yoiks!

Ciao,

it's definitely an enjoyable show, even though all the origin stories are screwed up (well, except for the Lizard I guess).

Another green goblin episode and we get to see who the goblin really is. This was a halloween episode and you should pay close attention to what some of the people are wearing. If you are not into comics the easter eggs will be lost on you.

No venom in this episode but it doesn't look like he is to far off. The previews for next week has peter wearing the black suit.

I too am loving this show! lots of villains - which is good, but do you think they are moving too fast?

It seems like they are going to run out of baddies.

Even though it is a good show it probably won't be on very long. The Saturday morning shows always have short runs. So I'm thinking they are throwing out the big guys rapid fire knowing the show won't be around long.

That's probably it, but I do wish they would be able to slow things down a bit. Having a 12 episode story arc of the Goblin/Black Costume/Venom and some other elements thrown in there would be awesome.

As would having the Green Goblin kill Gwen Stacy in the season finale, but I doubt that will happen as well.

And 12 episode story arcs aren't out of the question...if kids can follow anime for 52 episodes or more, I don't understand why American animation can't offer more in terms of long term story arcs.

I agree with the above posts that it's a good show. I hope it lasts a few seasons.

Pretty good episode today. I liked the interaction between Black Cat (aka Six from BSG) and Spidey. Also Mysterio makes an appearance, I'm sure he'll appear in his costumed form in a future episode.

Anyone else think this is the way the alien symbiote should have arrived to Earth instead of a stupid meteor in Spider-Man 3?

Totally agreed. Even if the symbiote arrived on a meteor, the odds of the meteor happening to land in the vicinity of Peter Parker are too low to even consider as being plausible. This was very weak writing, and it bothered me immediately when I was watching Spidey 3 in the theater.

And I can't wait for Mysterio to appear in the new cartoon -- I noticed him today, too. Also waiting for the Scorpion to show up sometime. And I think it would be cool, too, if Jameson's son becomes the Man-Wolf. I'm really loving this cartoon.

Definitely, I'm loving this series as well. I was a little skeptical at first, with the style of the show, but it's definitely grown on me.

Can't wait for next episode, it's Spidey vs.

Spoiler:

The Sinister Six!

Much better. They took this idea from the spiderman cartoon from the eighties.

Absolutely. Especially since they were setting it up that way in Spider-Man 2 with J. Jonah's son being a pilot and an astronaut. How and why it got changed is easy to understand: CASH GRAB, and they wanted to throw all their eggs in one basket. But the ideal Spider Man 3 (IMHO) would have been J. Jonah's son is finishing his shuttle mission, brings the symbiote back, it becomes Peter's new costume and then that's about it...he runs around the entire movie in a awesome black costume. They set up the Lizard in Spidey 2, so he could have been a villain, and probably bring Sandman in as well. Black Spidey vs. Lizard and Sandman. It could have been cool if that's all they focused on. Then suddenly towards the end of the movie, the costume begins to have a bad effect on Peter and he doesn't know why...setting up for the inevitable Spider Man 4: Venom.

The story needed two movies. 3 was a rushed mess. Oh, what could have been...
