RockStar - original song question

I realize this is a long shot.

Does anyone remember the names of the original songs that were song on season one of Rock Star. Not Pretty Vegas by JD Fortune. There was another song that all the contestants sang that got overshadowed by Pretty Vegas.

Song had a word like "one" or "together" in the title.

One by one the contests added a line or two until all of them were singing.

I tried looking for the answer on the web and wikipedia but couldn't come up with the answer. Thanks if you happen to know.

Marty Casey's "Trees" got a lot of play that season

chorus:
It will be you and me up in the trees
And the forest will give us the answers
It'll be you and I up in the sky
Its a combination for disaster

Do you mean "Us"? This is the song they sang in the recording clinic, then later, the 5 remaining rockers performed it onstage (alternating leads) with INXS as well as Dave Navarro on guitar.

Lyrics:
US by INXS
feat. Suzie McNeil

The world is always changing, you can see it every day
But in a tragic situation you just can't hide yourself away
So try a little kindness cause it sure can't be that hard
You're shining in the darkness when you open up your heart

Your love is all we need to bring us together
Don't leave it to me, nothing's for free, it comes down to us

Hungry babies on television, can you feel the shame?
We've got to keep on giving to one another, 'cause it's all gonna happen again
Why don't you try a little kindness cause it sure can't be that hard
Just think about what binds us and find a new place to start

Your love is all we need to bring us together
Don't leave it to me, nothing's for free, it comes down to us
Your love is all we need to bring us together
We're not indestructable, we're some kind of miracle
Happens every day

This is the only TV show I have "archived" on DVD that has not been released. I bought the best of DVD that came out, but it lacked so many great parts of the show..

I've seen Jessica Robinson and Marty Casey shows several times each here. They're both locals and hit the street festival circuit in the summer and clubs the rest of the year.

The actual INXS version can be found on their post-Rock Star album entitled Switch.
