This show has gotten progressively better and better with each episode. His cop brother in law just cracks me up, after not digging his character too much in the beginning of the series.

When he got in his car after exploding the apartment, it seemed to me like he was kind of losing it, more so then celebrating/psyching himself.

Good stuff

Preview of the finale. Dang, I don't want this show to end.

Same here...I yelled out cliche at the TV when he first appeared. But it has gradually gotten way better.

The series as a whole has been a rather fun ride. As I said before if AMC wants to contend with TNT, FX, HBO and Showtime, they need to keep this series going. Period.

I really hope this show gets a second season. I like where it is headed.

If there was any doubt this show needed second season, last night's episode proved it should.

Great season ender! I have a feeling they will do another season.

I am thinking that the DEA agent was stealing stuff from the evidence locker / people being arrested. For example, some meth head goes in steals the tiara - he busts her, and pockets the tiara as a gift for his sister in law.

Wasn't it kind of shown that it was the sister-in-law who was stealing? It seemingly started when she walked out of the shoe store wearing a pear of shoes, I think?

Great season ender. I thought the ending was quite funny with the meth dealer beat the shit out of the guy and Mr. White and jesse are just quite and slowly look at each other in shock.

I forgot about that - I guess she stole those shoes out of spite, and then got a thrill out of it.

The sales person at the store said a blonde woman stole the tiaria. The sister is not blonde, but could put on a wig.

I am still hoping that the DEA agent is a bit crooked... just a better story that not everyone is perfect and above the law.

Agree on all counts, forgot about the blonde woman statement.

It seemed like they were maybe setting up a situation where both the DEA guy's wife and Walt were doing something illegal for the thrill. And of course the question is, where do you draw the line? DEA guy will say Walt crossed it, he'll try to convince him otherwise.

It isn't really where YOU draw the line...it is more like, where IS the line draw?

Is it really wrong for Walt to commit a crime to help his family? More so, is it that way because the law says so? Where is the line there?

Walt makes an excellent point about pot...it could be legal next year. My own personal belief (probably like many others) is the war on drugs failed. It is time to take a new approach. Legalization (with taxation) is viable...but it needs to be researched throughly...not jumping into it like the US is known for.

Yeah, then of course there are whole new "lines" to deal with - should we stop at legalizing marijuana, or should cocaine be included (at an even higher tax), but heroine be excluded?

It's hard to say...theoretically, if the government is involved, they control the goods. Then people can get stuff that is pure. I look at it as a means to ween people off of it, rather than keep them on. That is for the harder drugs. Pot on the other hand is different, it would be like alcohol, there would have to be limits. But as I said, the lines aren't clearly defined anymore. Different time...different society. But I do understand the conversation Hank and Walt are having, since they are playing for different teams, but with the same goal in mind.

Excellent show from start to finish-I have more respect now for Bryan Cranston as an actor. Definitely should get some Emmy recognition for this role.

Just a quick bump, saw the advertisement for season two the other day, which starts Mar. 8. Also, found this info. in case anybody needs to catch up on season 1 or get a refresher before the new season starts.

Hope Time Warner has these on demand in HD like they did last year since we still don't have AMC-HD.

Rumor has it that DirecTV may be adding this before season 2 starts, but I've not seen any confirmation of this.

Re: Breaking Bad - Season 1 Discussion

Watched the show from start to finish again in preparation for the coming weeks. I just cannot get over how good it is. Laugh out loud funny one minute. Tugging at the heartstrings the next. Can't wait for the second season to start.
