Remember Grey's Anatomy only started with 9 episodes in season 1 as a midseason replacement. Hey at least we're getting roughly 2 months worth of this show which is better than nothing.

Looks like this episode is NOT the one I previewed back in October in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. I can only assume it is one of the later episodes.
I say this because there is no
This explains everything now (Hawkins friend) as to why in the episode I watched I didn't know who the hell he was!

I hope we're not headed for 6 episodes that deal heavily with some sort of government conspiracy. That has to be a big part of what they deal with, I guess. I just want to make sure it's balanced out with other stories so we're not just thrown right into X-Files/24 type territory.

I feel exactly the opposite. Since they completely went away from the post-apocolyptic aspects of nuclear war, the government conspiracy (and Hawkins involvement) is the only interesting part of this show.

Ehh - I liked it. Glad it's back. Didn't blow me away. Thought the acting was a bit weak and the story line was a bit awkward - especially at the beginning.
Anyway, I'm psyched to see the new episodes but I didn't find it as strong as the last couple of episodes from last season.

Thought it was as good as any other Jericho episode. Did have me wondering where all the teens were--the boy who owns the shop, the deaf daughter, the girl who likes the box who owns the shop...I always thought they help round out the populace.

just finished up season 1 from the marathon they ran on Universal HD..
I cant help thinking this is Armageddon 90210 with the sappy love scenes and all..if they got rid of those they would have a really decent show..needless to say im hooked enough though that ill watch the second season..
if only to see if butter face Mimi and Stan get killed

I thought it was good...and I'm glad that they are progressing the storyline. At least if we have some sort of closure in this season and not leave it on a cliff hangler, I'll be happy.

That's about what Jericho was getting in the 2nd half of last season. Very disappointing. I guess all the "Nuts" fans don't own a fucking Nielsen box.

In case you missed it, it's re-airing on Saturday at 8pm.
I thought it was a good, but underwhelming premiere. I was disappointed that it jumped forward in time and showed the standoff with New Bern in a flashback. I think Esai Morales is a good addition to the show. I am also looking forward to Daniel Benzali's appearance, whenever the hell that is.
I guess Sprague Grayden, Michael Gaston were demoted to guest star status because of the budget cuts on this season. I wonder if Pamela Reed will eventually make an appearance. I know she was on Eli Stone as his mother.

To me, Jericho is about the town of Jericho, not government conspiracy theories. Unless that conspiracy theory is resolved in Jericho or actually involved more residents of Jericho than Hawkins, I'm not a fan of taking the show that way. They should have shown us more of what happened between the federal government, New Bern, and Jericho and given us flashes of the government paranoia thing.
