I'm a huge fan of The Flintstones, therefore I noticed something strange while watching the opening/closing segments to the season that has "Ten Little Flintstones" (Yabba...Dabba...Do!) and "Meet Ann Margrock."

The opening segment ("let's ride with the family down the street...") and you see Fred and Wilma and Pebbles (and their pets) picking up the Rubbles, and they head to the movies to see "The Monster."

The closing segment shows Fred, Wilma, Pebbles (and their pets) leaving the drive-in...but without the Rubbles! What happened to them?!

Obviously, they didn't bother updating the "closing segment," despite the fact they went out of their way to update the "opening segment" - to include the Rubbles. Strange.

Now, I don't know about all of youse people, but I find the whole Flintstones experience to be complete with the "Flintstones! Meet the Flintstones, they're the modern stone age family..." theme song to open and close the episode. In the first few seasons, before they came up with that theme song, they just have that "Rise and Shine" instrumental, but kind of kills it for me. So even though I like the early episodes, I'll only really tune in (with my kid) for the episodes that had the great theme song that started later in the series.
