Preston "Bodie" Broadus (from The Wire) - questions on occupation...
This character from TV's The Wire,, played by actor J.D. Williams, is compelling, yet never really fleshed out by the writers of the show
For one thing, does he just stand there on the corner all day? What if there's a snowstorm? Doesn't it snow in Baltimore? In Season One, he worked in the low risers, where at least he had a couch to sit on. After that, he stood all...day...long! That's friggin' dedication, you ask me! Braving the elements, exhaustion, whateva. Unfortunately, in the show, you never see him having to brave the elements of weather.
But what exactly was his job? He was in charge of the runners, but is that it? I know he was raised by his grandmother, and that he can shoot a game of pool. But this character was really put to the way-side as far as development, you ask me.

What does Freaman do when he gets off at night?
I don't think it matters. He had all the character development that he needed. He was second in command of the low rises and then got a bump. When the towers went down he got moved to the streets and got his own corner. Won't say much about season 4 but he's loyal to the guys in charge perhaps to a fault.
I would assume he hangs on the corner come rain or shine and then when he retires for the evening he goes to his grandmothers house.
