Saw him on Conan a little while back and he was acting pretty normal.

But, he really looked out of it on Letterman.

Just good shtick.

Sigh.......

Maybe but Tracy is also insane. Plus, don't they keep booze backstage for guests on these shows? I know I've heard Jay Leno talk about this.

I don't know, that whole 'stabbing robot' thing was pretty out there.

Are you talking about the interview where he shouted "I FOUGHT FOR THE NORTH!" at random times throughout the segment? Yeah, "pretty normal"...

I thought the Letterman interview was pretty much par for course with Tracy.

He seemed like the Regular Tracy Morgan to me as well.

They keep whatever the guests require, e.g.:

Pearl Jam liked champagne.

Foo Fighters liked beer.

Bill Cosby liked a very specific type of bottled water.

I thought he was stoned or on some other drug.

Schtick. Only way it would be more obvious is if Tracy came out and said "I will now act as if I'm loaded".

So I watched the clip, and when they announced Tracy Morgan I though, you morons got his name wrong, it's Jordan not Morgan!

Then I remembered, oh yeah, d'oh.

I love my 30 Rock.

And yes, that seemed like "normal" Tracy to me as well.

They say a good chunk of his dialogue on the show is different things he has said in real life.

Schtick through and through. The drinking bit didn't help matters either.

I remember when Tina Fey was on one of the Late night shows and she said something like that.

She said that after Tracy was arrested for DUI he said, "They need to focus on the war in Iraq and leave me and Michael Vicks alone!"
