Episode 60: "Bad Earl"

BAD EARL
01.10.08 | 8/7c | TV14 When his postprison life offers no home, no job and no money, a bitter Earl renounces karma and regresses to his old bad self. As Randy plans a Christmas-morning intervention, karma comes calling for Earl in the form of Billie (Alyssa Milano) and a car. Giovanni Ribisi also guest stars.

I thought I've canceled my season pass for this but I checked my DVR and it's scheduled for recording. I kinda liked this season but somehow I stopped watching and had like 2 o 3 episodes in my queue.

With the strike, I may end watching this episode.

Awesome episode. Probably the best this season. And to Alyssa returning. I hoped she would become a regular since she cameoed. She fit right in with the cast.

*Edit - I already forgot, how did Earl get out of prison since the warden shredded his good behavior certificates?

When Earl tried to escape he fell through the duct into the warden's office. Him and Darnell (he was there as a minister helping Earl escape) were ex-roommates and the warden used to do a little pron back in the day. To keep Earl quiet he let him go.

I thought this was a disappointment, given the promise that the 'Bad Earl' idea had. The trailer tip ws amusing, but the rest of his bad antics didn't deliver for me. The 'Bad Karma' short on the season 1 DVD did a much better job with a similar idea.

Thanks. I remembered the prison break but couldn't remember why the warden would let him off the hook.
