A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving - TONIGHT! 11/20/07

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Tuesday, November 20 at 8/7c

In the 1973 special, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the gang. However the dinner he arranges is a disaster when the caterers, Snoopy and Woodstock, prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish. Humiliated, it will take all of Marcie's persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown.

It is followed by "He's a Bully, Charlie Brown".

I'm looking forward to this because I haven't seen it as many times like the "big 2". I don't remember them showing it every year like the other 2.

Is this the one where Peppermint Patty and Marcie kiss, or am I thinking of something else?

Haven't watched this one in a few years, I'm so there.

Popcorn, toast, jellybeans, licorice. The fundamentals of any Thanksgiving dinner.

I wonder if they'll cut out Charlie Brown and Franklin slapping each other five because of the subtle racism.

I didn't see the Bully one. Did Charlie Brown kick the everloving shit out of him?

The Bully one was good... at least the characters had some personality

Charlie Brown schools the bully at marbles (all of us here could relate to a good old game of marbles, what kid didn't have a favorite shooter growing up). IMHO the kid was not really a bully, he was good at marbles and he won them from the other looser kids.

Think the Hustler, but with Marbles

I have the Thanksgiving one on DVD (along with every other one released) but I've never seen the Bully one. Thanks for the heads up.

Although admittedly somehwhat weak, why not show "The Mayflower Voyagers"? Is it possible that it might too EDUCATIONAL about the true reason for Thanksgiving?

What the hell was up with Peppermint Patty's voice in the Thanksgiving episode? "It's a man, baby!"

And only on Charlie Brown would a problem with a "bully" deal with marbles. Woah...I guess the Connect Four bully was out of town.
