worst episode of the season thus far
|
Holy Crap! Best. Episode. Ever.? Quite possibly!
The beginning was weird, and reminded me of last season's finale. In fact, I thought it was a dream. However, I thought the casting all around was good as was the acting. However, per usual for Smallville, they wrap up all of the good storylines in one episode! They gave us a hint of this over the past few weeks, but why wrap it up so quickly? In the comics, whenever something like this happened Clark would always take issues to figure it out and make his way back. This would have been a perfect example of them bringing the JLA to help resolve the situation. Also would have been great for Clark to have a showdown with Zor-El at the end!! Once again, a new Kryptonian that can fly while Clark can't. rofl I liked the hint that Laura gave to Lana. It keeps that storyline going, and KK kept the annoyance factor at a low. Under utilized Chloe though. :( Really don't care for the Lois/Grant thing, but amazing twist with him being Julian! Very nice callback to the early seasons. :) |
This show's still on? Huh. How bout that.

Agreed. Then again, it seems the work around this show is using is that Kryptonians had been visiting Earth long before Clark arrived. It seems they had time to learn all about their special abilities whereas Clark is still figuring them out. But Clark is a moron for not asking Kara to teach him how to fly. The "girls develop faster" line was cute as a throwaway but it stops being cute when Clark doesn't make the slightest effort to learn how to fly.
The "no flight, no tights" edict stopped being valid the moment everyone else (and at one point Clark as a brainwashed Kal-El) started flying. |

Great episode. Zorel's duster was bad ass. Wet_Kara++; |

overall, i thought the episode was good. kara soaking, wringing wet is always a good thing. zor-el wasn't that amazing to me. |
It was a good, but not great episode. The twist with Cassidy being Lex's long lost brother was interesting.......I just had a thought, anyone think they are setting him up to be the new villain if Rosenbaum leaves after this year?
I personally never really cared for Helen Slater when she was younger. But, man age has done wonders for her. She was absolutely stunning! Lois is just dead weight right now. I like Erica Durance, but they haven't given her shit to do this season other than disappear for a few episodes and flirt with the boss. |
I liked the Julian Luther twist.
Good episode. |
I tune in each week to see which regular will be the one near death. It seems that hospital set is seen more than the Kent farm.
|
I guess Blue was decent but really why must everytime Jorel shows up at all in the story at any part is he portrayed as evil?? I haven't read a Superman comic in ages but was he like that in them??
|
How's Jor-el being evil? If you're talking about the guy, that was Zor-el, not Jor-el.
|
I think he means that Jor-el is always punishing Clark

Exactly. He seems to always say he's doing something wrong or dissappointed him or something. I love the show but this version of Jor-el is annoying. |

So I read that Black Canary and Green Arrow are gonna hook up on Smallville in '08.
|
I didn't like this episode much, the Julian twist comes off as a lack of new material. I'd rather them bring back Green Arrow or the Flash. I like this show, but I don't see it going anywhere after this season. That being said, the episodes from now on better start hinting more towards the blue suit and cape, which means Clark getting a job at the daily planet, developing a crush on Lois, and being more involved in saving random people instead of his trouble-hungry friends. Example: The season premiere with clark stopping the flood of water with his heat vision....more of that type of stuff.
By the way, has Annette O'Toole been removed from the cast? She isn't even in the intro anymore. |
I wonder, on which of the 52 Worlds does Smallville exist?
|
Hopefully one that Superboy-Prime'll visit next..

 I hate Superboy-Prime with a passion but I can't deny his no nonsense "Scorched Earth" method of problem solving. |

Finally saw this episode, and I immediately thought the same thing, and he never had a moment to take advantage of it and bang Lana. |
