You should save the episodes, because in a month there will not be any new shows to watch and at least you will have that to watch! ;)

Chuck!!! It's a great name and a great show!! ;)

bboisvert 11-13-07 12:25 PM

After watching Journeyman from last night, can I change my answer? ;)

That show keeps getting a little better every week.

MrE 11-13-07 03:15 PM

I voted LIFE (although I hate the name) since it's not getting enough love. CHUCK is my favorite new show.

cdoug57 11-13-07 04:04 PM

I voted for Chuck, but I also want Journeyman to stick around.

My sentiments exactly, although Life barely edges out Chuck.

Personally I don't think the NBC network can be saved. They lost all they're top shows five years ago and have been trying to rebuild.

Rocketdog2000 11-13-07 04:53 PM

I have to remove Chuck from the equation, because although I've taped every epsiode, I haven't had the chance to watch a single one yet. So it'd be unfair to judge it having not seen it yet. That said, from the remaining choices it would be...

Life > Bionic Woman > Journeyman

Life - I've consistently liked since the first episode. As far as what will they do once Crews frame-up is solved? You people obviously don't watch enough television. There will be some new mystery that will develop out of solving the first one, or part of it at least. That's been pretty much the standard formula for any ongoing mystery based show I've ever seen.

Bionic Woman - Yes, this show could be much better, but it's still o.k., and always has the potential to improve. So I keep watching.

Journeyman - Watched the first episode, and there wasn't enough there to keep me interested. On top of that, the DVR was getting pretty full, and my time to actually watch every show I want to see (i.e.- Chuck) had to knock something out, so this was it.

Same with me. I love Journeyman, I watch Life when I have time, and end up deleting all of the others.

Just got around to watching last night's Chuck. The show keeps getting better and better.

Can I vote twice in a poll? I want to vote for Chuck again.

Ayre 11-14-07 09:38 AM

We should be voting to kill a show. Thats a lot more fun :-)

:thumbsup::thumbsup: Chuck
 Journeyman

Bionic Woman is the only one I watch, but I've been recording Chuck and Journeyman for future 'enjoyment.' But honestly, they could all be given the axe and I'd be OK with it.

Newsradio, Homicide: Life on the Street and Boomtown.

I guess if you’re talking about this season of new NBC shows, I’d save Life. Journeyman is dull, Chuck isn’t very funny and the only thing noteworthy I have to say about Bionic Woman is that the lead (Michelle Ryan) used to be on Eastenders.

I really like life even though it’s pretty much Raines without Goldblum. Lewis is pretty funny in the role as Crews and Shahi isn’t hard on the eyes either. I hope at the very least we see an ending to the big continuing storyline in the show and it just doesn’t abruptly end. The major weak point of the show is the “case of the week” weekly storylines.

Journeyman. Really like it. Haven't seen Chuck, disliked Life (dropped it after one episode) and am ready to drop Bionic Woman since it pretty much blows except for the Katee Sackoff character.

mdc3000 11-15-07 10:16 AM

I like all 4. I LOVE Chuck, Journeyman and Life, while I mearly LIKE Bionic Woman...but I'd be pissed if any of them got cancelled. If I could only save 2 it would be Journeyman and Chuck...or maybe Chuck and Life...I can't decide!!!!!

Journeyman > Chuck > Life > Bionic Woman

Charlie Goose 11-15-07 12:08 PM

Out of the two of that four I've seen, Life by a mile.

I've been watching The Bionic Woman, but so far I'm not blown away.

DRG 11-15-07 12:22 PM

Chuck - love it, would be disappointed if it didn't return.

Bionic Woman - far from perfect, but I'm kind of enjoying the RoboAlias vibe it's settling into.

Journeyman - I enjoyed the pilot, but just never got around to watching any later episodes. I might give it another shot if it goes into a rerun cycle.

Life - Tried to watch it, but it just didn't grab me. I was annoyed in the first 5 minutes and fell asleep, decided not to bother with it again.

With the strike, I'm sure we'll be seeing a rerun cycle coming up. Or you can always go the nbc.com route.

Superman07 11-15-07 01:08 PM

I voted Journeyman. I was hooked from the first episode, and it has continually improved week after week!

I watched the first 4 or so episode of Bionic Woman on NBC.com, but there was no improvement whatsoever. Maybe I'll catch it on dvd, but right now it's not worth my time.

I was intrigued by Life, but I never bothered to watch the pilot and therefore have not watched any of it.

I've only seen bits and pieces of Chuck if I turn NBC on early enough before Heroes. At first (episode 2?) I thought this seems very weak based on what I saw, especially coupled with the previews. However, the past few weeks it seems much more rounded, and I think I'd be willing to watch it when/if it makes it way onto dvd.

I know Journeyman started off with 9 million viewers and is down to 6 million, but Heroes has definitely taken a slump this year so hopefully by comparison NBC won't frown upon that ~3 million slip. Additionally, Friday Night Ligths took a large dip last year, and yet that managed to stay alive, so I am hopeful (given the strike) that NBC will pick up Journeyman for a second full season - which would give us at least 36 episodes. *I couldn't find exact numbers for Heroes and Friday Night Lights - does anybody have some links?*

NBC GIVES 'LIFE' TO MONDAYS; 'DEAL' EXPANDS, MORE
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC's "Life" is getting a special post-"Heroes" showcase next month.

A two-part episode of the series will kick off on Monday, December 3 at 10:00/9:00c before concluding in its regular time period on Wednesday, December 5 at 10:00/9:00c.

The former installment will have the "Heroes" "fall finale" as its lead-in.

Meanwhile, "Deal or No Deal" is set for a special three-night stunt beginning Monday, December 10.

Two-hour editions are set for December 10 and December 12 with a one-hour installment on December 11 (all at 8:00/7:00c).

And finally, Sci Fi and USA will apparently drop their respective encores of "Bionic Woman" and "Life" after this week. No reason for the change was given. -eek-

My case in point, pretty much all NBC shows are hard pressed to break the 10M mark. Even if 6M is low, by traditional ratings standards (which I think are woefully obsolete in this day and age), it isn't all that low by NBC standards. They are definitely sitting in 3rd behind CBS and ABC, and frankly Fox probably isn't too far off their heels. Course knowing these dumb executives, they probably figure that means clean house and start over. :(
