I really enjoy the show. I don't mind the makeovers, though. But this guy was a huge tool. He is more impressed with the crappy image and creativity than he is in the food. I feel bad for the black lady. She could do well somewhere.

I think the makeovers are pretty pointless since they seem to make over every restaurant exactly the same each episode, just with a different color scheme. Sebastian was awesome because he was such a delusional douchebag. Franchise? How could this guy even be thinking franchise when he can't even keep one restaurant going strong? He was a total dick and I'm sure Gordon wanted to smash his round face in.

Next week should be good. A family of Irish drunks. Wait, that was redundant...

"I've got one simple rule, whenever I see pictures on a menu I get the F%$& out of there!"

That's gotta be one of Chef Ramsey's all time classic zingers in my book!!

Sebastien is a thankelss prick. It's not everyday a world class chef is gonna turn your shithole restaurant into a successful business.

Oh yeah, you're right.... But that's only happened on one episode that I've seen, and I've watched many.

I love this show & loved the BBC version too, probly due to 11 years in restaurant management & the hope of owning my own restaurant one day.

I can't imagine any restaurant owner/operator/manager not wanting to learn all that they possibly could from chef Ramsey. That is a once in a lifetime chance, plus you get a free makeover! It takes a real prick to not appreciate this help.

This guy is a serious joke. Non-franchised places should never used frozen crap for the bulk of their menu. I operated a brick oven pizzeria for awhile and it is far cheaper to make dough from scratch, and it obviously tastes much better. Frozen mashed potatoes? Even all-you-can eat buffets make those from scratch. Even worse than using frozen food is using the cheapest frozen food available. It was all Sysco brand (generic basically), not even any of the better quality products they offer in frozen foods. He's serving soup kitchen quality food in an upscale restaurant in L.A?

I enjoyed watching this episode, although I knew how it was going to go when he said that he had fired like 50 people in the past year. That's the sign of an terrible manager trying to place blame on others.

I can't wait for next episode. Looks like there will be some good fights. Also, I'm Irish.

Wow, completely crazy. It's weird I enjoyed that since he was perhaps the least "Kitchen Nightmares"ish of the entire run to date.

The guy was completey delusional, which is sad since he appeared to have a lot of hard working people that were under him. If he had of implimented Gordon's menu (or concept), I truely believe he could have had his franchise dream - at least as a local chain.

Oh well, his loss.

I'm still very dissatisfied with the American version. I really miss the British format where it was a lot of interaction with the owner/manager and/or the chef. In some cases they were both, and they were well established at one point, or at least had professional training.

Likewise, get rid of all of this free upgrades and crap. The funny thing about this one was I thought the original was 98% there. The layout was nice, as was the cook area, etc. Normally, he'd have pulled down that cover over the mirror himself, painted it, and then said, "Go buy yourself a dough machine." (after showing them how to do so by hand)!

During the credits it said two things which disappointed me even more:

1) Footage has been edited out of sequence (not that we didn't already know that)

2) "Producers may have provided customers at the restaurant with a financial contribution towards the cost of their meal." Maybe that's how it happened in the British version too, but I at least felt like people came because they wanted to, due to the local campain they would usually do at the episode to entice patrons.
