Why is it a joke? I happen to like the show too. Zane Lamprey is a great host and the show is extremely educational and entertaining at the same time. Probably the most interesting travel show on TV. You learn about the culture around drinking in all parts of the world. And the hangover cure part is great too.

I hear Lamprey has a exotic food travel show on the Food Channel now too.

A new Three Sheets is reason for celebration for my friends and I. We love the show and really enjoy tracking down many of the drinks he mentions and playing along on a second viewing!

I thought I was the only one who watched this show!

I love the one where he refused to drink the snake penises and one of the cameramen did it for $200.

New season just started. I caught a few scenes of the Chile episode, but I'll have to see it properly later on.

I owuld have to say that this Chile episode was one of the weaker ones. There was no chemistry at all IMO between Zane and the people. I know RIO was on tonight, but I ahve to wait until I get home to check it out. GLad to see that there are still people around watching it .....

My only problem is the recent episodes (since season 2, I'm thinking specifically of the Puerto Rico one) have been really product centric. "Here's a shot of this country's authentic beer/liquor." Yes, people in Puerto Rico have that beer and that's one of the top selling types of Pisco, but that's like doing a show on American bourbon and whiskey and only talking about Jack Daniel's. I hope the show moves away from that although I'm sure their making good money with these advertisements.

While I do agree with you in part, I think that part of the show is to show "local" popular drinks that you would be able to find fairly easily if you went to that place. Puerto Rico was a tricky one though as they could have gone and done Bacardi, but went to Don Q instead. They also couldnt show the Bacardi brand at all. There are other drinks in Puerto Rico that are more "local" that they could have spotlighted in that episode as well. They decided to go the "tourist" route though.

Back to the third season I think the flow of the show was back to more of a "normal" pace in the Rio episode. This was much better then the awkward 1st episode. For those that are not aware here are the remaining paces for this season:

Re: Three Sheets — The appreciation thread

I caught the opening night (official opening night) at the Anaheim HOB last night of Zane's tour "Drinking Made Easy" ... He is doing a new show on HDNet with the same name...I don't think I've seen more drunk people in one place.

Re: Three Sheets — The appreciation thread

It was fun. You can tell they don't have it planned out too well, and it's guys drinking...I wouldn't go out of your way too much, but if it was close I could say go...
