Pushing Daisies is the best for me so far.
Chuck comes second.

Honorable mentions are Journeyman and Cane.

I am only watching 2 new shows so far. Pushing Daisies and Bionic Woman. I voted for Bionic Woman just to be different, and I'm surprised to be the only one who did so far.

I do like Pushing Daisies a lot, but it's almost too weird even for me.

I'm going to put my "Other" vote for Alines in America

Although I do like Dirty Sexy and Pushing Daisies as well.

For the regular Fall season, it's Pushing Daisies by a landslide. I tried Bionic Woman, Reaper, and Dirty Sexy Money, and they boiled down to "will watch for the noise", but not much else. Pushing Daisies is an absolute joy to watch.

Including the shows that started over the summer, I also nominate Burn Notice, Mad Men and Torchwood.

I only watched about 5 of the new shows. I'd go with Big Shots with Dirty Sexy Money a close 2nd. Gossip Girl is the only other watchable rookie show I've come across.

Yes! Madmen is all about subtext.

There are so many wonderful layers of meaning worthy of serious critical analysis and yet it also works, for me, on the most primitive level-- that of being an "entertainment". It is not, however, a show for lazy minds.

It's the kind of program that a network operating under the time tested principle that "you'll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public" would never green light.

Thank goodness for AMCs willingness to appeal to a niche audience. Without that gamble we would have never seen this masterpiece.

Pushing Daisies. Life and Journeyman seem to be decent.

Yes, Pushing Daisies is weird & I don’t usually watch shows that are that far out there but I just found it wonderfully enjoyable.

Look, damn show just made me say, wonderfully enjoyable!

I just found Bionic Woman dumb.

A Bit slow????!!!??
What ???? Would have an MTV quick cut video style been better?

Loved the first and second episodes of this and Aliens in America.
Enjoying Journeyman too.

Didn't care for Gossip Girl, Bionic Woman, Chuck or Reaper.
Gonna check out Woman's Murder Club.

I'd have to say Pushing Daisies as well. What's funny to me is that throughout the pilot I kept thinking that if this material wasn't handled just right it would be AWFUL. But somehow, they have kept that balance. The closing scene in the pilot could have easily made me gag, but instead it was oddly touching.

Dirty Sexy Money would be a solid second. Chuck might be third.

I've liked Aliens in America and Reaper, but think they were maybe a little overhyped. Cane is surprisingly entertaining. I've been watching Bionic Woman and Journeyman, but I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped both of them in the next few weeks if they don't pick up.

it doesn't have to be on the list. i just stuck with mostly network shows with at least some buzz. but i agree this has been a weak new show showing this year.

I would say Chuck and Carpoolers are my tops. Carpoolers seems to have enough going for it that it could be funny for a good number of seasons.

Pushing Daisies is real good too if it can keep up the top notch storytelling. Each episode is like watching a short movie.

This thread is like a crazy place filled with crazy people. None of my 4 favorite new shows are even listed. I'd have to go with:
1. Reaper
2. Lucy Daughter of the Devil
3. Tell Me You Love Me
4. Kid Nation

Four completely different shows all doing a great job in their particular genre yet also managing to be fairly unique. Most of the other new shows have been pretty disappointing.

I second Reaper. The best friend (Burt?) is what makes this show. The devil stuff just gets the plot along.

My top five:
1. Reaper
2. Gossip Girl (I wasn't even going to watch this)
3. Big Shots (like most, I like the leads)
4. Journeyman
5. Bionic Woman (she's starting to grow on me)

I can't decide about Pushing Daisies. I like it enough to watch and it's well-done, but perhaps the genre does not appeal to me.

I've only checked out two new ones, Reaper and Back to You. I find them both enjoyable.
