This episode had the longest Weekend Update segment I've ever seen! I tuned out when Chevy Chase came on though. Armisen's Gene Simmons impression was genuinely creepy and funny.

Why all the hate for him, he's a comedian, so what if he never made it big time? How is that a reason to hate him? Not as funny as u might have thought in the 70s? His problem or yours? It's comedy i really think this level of dislike should be left to people with power... and no, i'm not going to talk about politics now.

Chevy is widely perceived as a total tool. I think that has a lot to do with the way people react to him. I admit I would be very unlikely to go see a new Chevy Chase movie for that reason (and because he hasn't made a funny movie in ages). I watched his segment and felt it was moderately funny for SNL these days, though.
