I don't think she can die at all, other than being retouched. The dog has greatly outlived it's natural life span and the dog attack victim seemed unaffected by his otherwise fatal wounds.
However, the rules aren't exactly consistent, since the fruit regenerated when touched but the dog victim did not. Also, the magical fruit pies are supposedly delicious, so whatever magic causes their recovery must not interfere with the cooking process.

And yeah, it is very Wonderfalls-ian.

Fun show. I saw it a while ago, but it looked great in HD on my big screen.

Oh my f'n God!
This is what I've been waiting for all year. A new show, out of nowhere, that I happened to blindly record and it just friggin blew me away.
Absolutely gorgeous cinematography and art direction coupled with a fantastic concept, likable characters and an enchanting love story filled with both pathos and joy.
I don't give a damn whether it lasts 3 weeks or 7 years. For one hour, while I watched it, I was filled with awe and that's an increasingly rare and precious commodity in these sad days of cookie cutter tv shows.
Best new show of the season--- by far!

ABC scored a narrow ratings win Wednesday night as critical darling "Pushing Daisies" got off to a pretty good start.

ABC also led among adults 18-49, scoring a 4.1 rating. CBS, 3.4, took second in the key ad demographic, edging NBC's 3.3. FOX averaged 2.7 and The CW 1.7.
The premiere of "Pushing Daisies" earned an 8.3/14 for ABC at 8 p.m., topping NBC's "Deal or No Deal," 7.1/12. "Kid Nation" put CBS in third. "Back to You," 4.4/7, and "'Til Death," 4.0/6, gave FOX the No. 4 spot, beating the 3.0/5 for "America's Next Top Model" on The CW.

In series-premiere news, ABC’s critically applauded Pushing Daisies opened on a winning note, with 12.83 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/13 share among adults 18-49. Comparably, that came in on par with year-ago occupant Dancing With the Stars among adults 18-49 (Viewers: 17.49 million; A18-49: 4.5/13 on Oct. 4, 2006). And it beat NBC’s second-place Deal or No Deal (Viewers: 11.07 million; A18-49: 2.8/ 8) by 1.76 million viewers and a hefty 54 percent among adults 18-49.
that's a pretty good sampling. Hopefully, this show continues to grow.
Sorry, if I was Chuck and I had a second chance at life, I would move as far away from pie-man as I could so there is little chance he would come into contact with me. Of course, there would be no story but still. It's also a good setup between the two love interests can't really touch or kiss. They have all the sexual tension but none of the payoff (the payoff i.e. married, kiss, etc typically leads to a decline in the ratings).

The show has a few logistical problems and the comedic timing is a little off in spots, but I think it'll be fun for the few episodes they air before it gets cancelled. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
