My money is on The Big Bang Theory. I saw it when my TiVo downloaded the pilot a few days ago, and I don't think it's going to last very long. Plus CBS has Old Christine waiting in the wings.

I think Kitchen Nightmares is only 9 episodes, so I think FOX will let that one finish.

Monday:
(NBC) Chuck will have lots of problems against Dancing with the Stars, the CBS comedy block and Prison Break.....possible candidate.

Tuesday:
(ABC) Caveman and Carpoolers are DOA IMO. ABC hasn't developed a good sitcom in ages. It's going to get killed by NCIS and Bones & Biggest Loser.

(ABC) Cashmere Mafia....Again DOA IMO.....It's against The Unit and House

(CBS) Cane....possible candidate...It's against Boston Legal and Law & Order SVU

Wednesday:

(NBC): Life...as good as gone....shouldn't even bother.

Thursday:

(ABC): Big Shots...against Without a Trace and ER....Is ABC joking? DOA

Friday:

(FOX): Nashville...Get ready for FOX on Demand.

(ABC): Women's Murder Club

I think any new show on CBS is vulnerable since they have shown that unless a new series gets 10 million a viewers or something they want nothing to do with it. They quickly cancelled Smith in this slot last year for not doing CSI type numbers. This show might fare a little better due to the Latino angle, but even Ugly Betty was only a modest hit at first in a much better time slot.

I think Moonlight is going to be a tough sell as well. The only people who might be interested in a vampire series will dismiss this as an Angel rip-off. Close to Home was actually a pretty solid hit on Friday night for CBS and they cancelled that anyway, and I don't think this show will get the same number of viewers that show got in the same time slot.

And I also thik that Cavemen and Carpoolers will be toast. No buzz, horrible ABC sitcom track record. Samantha Who might do well since it has the Dancing with the Stars lead-in.

Viva Laughlin also mgiht be quickly gone. It sounds like it is much too quirky for Sunday nights.

I'm going with the Caveman/Carpoolers combo as the first gone.

Last year this forum predicted that would be the first to go.

Is there any Geek/Nerd/fanboy/Internet-Favorite? If so, that will be gone. Seems to always happen. Something doesn't catch on and is cancelled, resulting in millions of Internet fanboys screaming that network execs are morons and the general population rides the short bus due to their lack of loving 'good' shows.

I think DJariya has pretty much nailed it on how the 07’-08’ season is going to go. I especially agree with the ‘ABC hasn’t developed a good sitcom in years’ statement. NBC pretty much has the funny covered.

I think Life is going to be the new Raines.

Big Shots might have a slip chance of staying on the air. ER’s ratings aren’t even close of what they used too be & the ‘masses’ might just give up ER. I hope they don’t because I’ve been an ER fan since the beginning but who knows?

I think ER is in need of a serious change. They either need to bring back Carter (Noah Wyle) or, I don’t fu*king know, but something need to happen. Bring Greene back from the dead, that’ll boost up the ratings.

Without A Trace is going to be the #1 show of in that timeslot & probably the #2 show overall (with Grey’s Anatomy in 1st) but last season of WAT was just dull as all hell & I hope it gets interesting again. Even ER at its worst is still more entertaining then WAT & I like WAT.

Cane / CBS
Big Shots / ABC

....all to get canceled within eight weeks.

I think K-Ville is a very good possibility - going up against MNF and Heroes. Not a chance, and FOX has a quick trigger finger to boot. The Prison Break audience likely goes to either 1) MNF or 2) Heroes.

What ever happened to those shows?

Thats crazy, your first choice got alot of positive buzz as the best show in the fall. hrmm.

Only one person picked Heroes as their serious answer. One person picked Heroes jokingly because that was the only new show he was watching.

More people picked the show that Groucho picked last year... Friday Night Lights.

Ugly Betty was mostly picked only because of its timeslot, not the content of the show.

What about The I.T. Crowd, which was scheduled as a mid season replacement that mightn't see the light of day now since Kevin Reilly has been replaced by Ben Silverman? That one should count! If so, I WIN!!!!

Journeyman. That timeslot is a suicide mission for NBC.

That turned out to be a mistake -- barely. It's a critical darling with a zealous fanbase, but it's barely hanging on.
