Next week this show better pull a miracle out of its ass. This also applies to The Dead Zone.

For me, I don't feel as though the finale for this season needs to do anything to greatly improve the quality of the show.
This season has, essentially, been about Tommy simply drifting through life. Everything was changing for him, and he became unable to cope. So, he merely began sleepwalking through this season with no purpose or true driving force. That's my interpretation of the events taking place this season. A man trying to exist on a day-to-day basis, with nothing to look foward to, and slowly losing whatever he had to live for. |
I think the problem with this season is that there's no real narrative thread. Each episode just feels like a collection of disjointed deleted scenes instead of a clear plot-line with character arcs.

hilarious that teddy and the other guy were "sent to the corner" in the school classroom

I think the show lost something when Tommy's brother started hooking up with Tommy's (ex?) wife.

It's not that the show is bad - it's just not good. It changes direction every minute (from what little direction there is) and all of the characters have lost any redeeming qualities they once had. I still watch it every week and think Leary is a good actor in it. |

The females are some of the worst on Tv but at least Sheila is entertaining with her craziness. The show is still entertaining with moments of greatness sprinkled with bouts of "Man, what a douchebag". Its not nearly as strong as it used to be but it still works. |

There's a building on fire. People are trapped inside and need to be saved. One of the city's best firefighters shows up to help, and they're gonna say "Sorry Gavin, it's not your shift" Plus the guys who are supposed to be "on shift" ARE DRUNK for chrissakes! Sorry Tommy, we'd love to have your help but it's not your shift. We're gonna stick with these drunks instead. Oh, those people inside that burning building that need help. Too bad for them. |
I used to watch this "live" every week, if I had to DVR it because of night shift I would watch it first thing in the morning before I went to bed. This season sometimes 2-3 days pass before I get around to watching it. For that reason I was sure I missed and episode between this week and last. There were several times in the episode when I was scratching my head over new things being brought up (like Mike on a new team)that I actually went to the online episode guide to make sure I wasn't crazy.

Um, yeah. No explanation for this show anymore. Too many things going on that don't make sense. The season finale is welcomed.

Mike graduated probie school and they got black sean so Mike had to go to the other shift to make room is my take on it
Sam Adams sure is paying for the product placement this season |
