Tell Me You Love Me - Pilot now On Demand

Has anyone watched this yet? The show isn't exactly plot-heavy, but since it hasn't officially aired yet, I'll spoilerize my comments.

Spoiler:
It's certainly an uncomfortable watch, but I think it has some potential. Still it feels a little slow and self-important for a show loaded with sex scenes. If nothing else, at least we see why Desmond was so hung up on Penelope; Sonya Walger is pretty hot. They get some of that relationship-in-decline stuff right on, but it's hard to care about their marrages or relationships when the viewer isn't yet invested in the characters. I'm curious to see where it goes, but I really doubt it'll catch on and suspect it'll be a one-and-done series.

I'm going to check it out but I'm waiting for the HD broadcast as my cable carrier doesn't do HBO HD On Demand for some reason.

Gotta see all that nekkid in 1080i!

I watched it on demand. My thoughts...

Spoiler:
First the good, I like the graphic sex. Finally a show that depicts sex in a more realistic way. It was a little shocking to see penis, balls, and cum on a mainstream show. I have no problem with it. I welcome more shows that are willing to show sex on American television, since they'll show plenty of graphic violence, why not sex?

Now for the bad... Once you get past the graphic sex, do you have interesting characters? I'd have to say after the first episode, no. How many times have we seen the couple trying to conceive and the pressure it puts on their relationship? The same can be said about the couple that is no longer having sex. We've seen this many, many times already. Why was the guy whacking off under the covers when his wife was in the shower? Take it out from under the sheets. That's something that drove me crazy the same way women who have their bras on in tv and movies when having sex does. The dialogue wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad either. The older couple(the therapist and her man) were the one thing we don't really see on television, an older couple that has sex. At least I haven't seen it. I know some people will be grossed out by old people having sex, but I have to give the producers credit for bringing up something that isn't usually discussed. The problem is that we don't get enough of the older couple. They seemed more interesting than everyone else.

I know I will keep watching for Penny from Lost, but I won't hold my breath for this show to be renewed with the way HBO has been canceling shows left and right over the last few years.

Episode 2 is on demand now on my system. Pretty much the same topics covered as in episode 1. Seems like the producers like to show Penny on the toilet a lot. Yes, I know she's not Penny on the show, but I know her more from Lost.
