Really enjoyed this show, the contestants, the audience participation and Drew Carey as Host. That 19 year old that won a million dollars? That was sweet!

It wasn't the tightest run show, but with Drew Carey as host that actually seems to fit better. And for some reason it didn't seem to drag nearly as endlessly as Deal or No Deal even though there are fewer decision points. Carey was great as an "everyman" host. His best banter was when he talked about how the producers were so sure no one would win a million dollars that they hadn't even rehearsed what to do if someone actually did. Classic.

I didn't hear anything about this and watched it only by chance, but it was a fun first show. I'll tune in again.

I missed this last night but I think this will give Drew Carey some "buzz" for when he starts hosting The Price is Right. I think Drew Carey is great & The Drew Carey Show is one of the better if not forgotten sitcoms of the 90's.

He's the ultimate "everyman" & more people can relate to him more than OCD, mysophobia Howie Mandel. Don't get me wrong I like Mr. Mandel & his work on St. Elsewhere was great but I just can't relate to him other than the fact that he's a good ole' Canadian boy. Actually I am a little bit of a clean freak & I don't like shaking other peoples hands either so...?

Let's see, Drew Carey has the Power of 10 & The Price is Right. Craig Ferguson has The Late, Late Show with TVs Craig Ferguson & Christa "WTF happened to my face? Miller will be on the 7th & final season of the brilliant comedy, Scrubs. Pretty impressive careers (all things considered) for some of the former cast of The Drew Carey Show.

I was at the taping of the premiere and during the second face off to determine who would play, the two women actually guessed the same number, which the producers were completely unprepared for... it made for one of the funniest moments I've encountered in quite a while, and I was pretty disappointed that they edited it out. A similar thing could be said of the question involving the Dick Chaney duel. Drew went off with a bunch of jokes about the people writing the questions that had the audience rolling, but that got cut out too.

That said, I was really pleasantly surprised about was how true that everyman persona is. He was a genuinely friendly guy, going around and talking to everyone and talking to a few individuals as someone else was asking trivia questions and giving away t-shirts... just an all-around good guy who doesn't seem to taking any of it for granted and spent a good hour or so just talking to the audience and joking around.

Still, I didn't watch the second episode of the show tonight. Only five or ten questions an hour and no beautiful, scantily clad women? C'mon!

Finally got around to watching this. Carey seemed to be having a good time, he was really excited for the 19 year old who won a million dollars. However, the questions are so stupid. How can you guess at questions like that?

it was a good show, but it seems like it would get boring after a season or so.

Carey is a great host, but I am more interested in the survey responses than the contestants. Another problem is the truthfulness of some of the answers in the survey. How many people are answering truthfully, and how many are answering the way they think they should answer? A prime example is the question about how many women would have their husband tracked if they could get away with it. I would have thought that the answer would be much higher.

Are the surveys done by phone? I would think that written responses would be more truthful, because the general public wouldn't feel like they were getting judged by the people on the phone. I would imagine they are done by phone, since it is a lot quicker and easier.
