not... even.. CLOSE

either you just really hate Danielle or you haven't watched the show much

she's not even in the Top 3 whiners of this season!

Jessica turns the word "and" into a five syllable affair

hahahahaha

Oh please. You accuse me of not watching the show. Jessica has the best attitude in the house (she has her faults, but she at least tries to have fun and make the best of the situation everyday).

This week Danielle has won HOH
Spoiler:
won veto and a trip,
got to have a free meal, and her birthday is tomorrow. Still, she's upstairs pissing and moaning about how hard her life is and how this game has screwed everything up. Woe is me. There isn't a day that goes by that Danielle doesn't whine about something, and everything is about her. She's a spoiled brat. Just ask her Dad; he's said as much on multiple occasions in the last two months.

You are right though. While I don't hate Danielle (I don't "hate" any of them), the only houseguest I like less is Amber.

You just don't UNDERSTAND how hard it is for her.

I think Diane whined with greater frequency last season, but at least she was gone pretty early and wasn't the focus of a CBS hack editing job.

Maybe Diane did; she wasn't on the TV show much last year. I think getting to watch After Dark every night skews my thinking.

In some ways I feel bad for Danielle because she had that man as a father, but she's just so self-centered, immature, and downright bratty (lest I be completely negative she's also pretty smart, strategic, and good at competitions ). Maybe she'll learn something watching the tapes, but given how "popular" her dad is (and she gets osmosis off of that) it probably won't sink in.

I'm not sure how tough I should be on Danielle. She seems spoiled and whines an awful lot, but it does look like her boyfriend has dumped her (at least for the moment) and I imagine being trapped in that house for so long with the same people would drive you crazy. Also, she's only 21 and perhaps she'll become a little more self-aware as she gets older.

Then again...

There's a scene in tonight's "After Dark" where Amber is once gain discussing her plans to be on "America's Next Top Model" or become an inspirational speaker. Jameka tries to bring her down to earth a little and suggests that Amber should at least be able to get a free Nursing School education out of her time on BB....

Amber has talked about "Top Model" before. Jameka has tried to pump her up emotionally and so now Amber has convinced herself that she's probably embraced by the veiwing public as sort of a role model. She's convinced that she''ll be "America's Choice" just like Janelle was and win a phone call or some terrific prize (Of course, she was "America's Choice", -for Eric to work to get evicted). And so she believes she has a career in Show Biz just waiting for her outside the gate. She has Jameka approach Eric about what he thought about her getting on "Top Model". That's a conversation I'd have liked to have seen...

I'm reminded of Season 1 when everybody was talking about what they'd do about their newfound fame. They were all sure they'd be walking out with movie deals, etc.

I have a question about Danielle

Spoiler:
I was watching some random video on youtube.com, and Eric was saying how he was upset Danielle got a letter from Nick. Is this true? If it is I think it's unfair he gets to send a letter knowing all the shit he knows now.

Yes, it's true. Big Brother has thrown "fair" out the window this season - especially where Dickless and Daniele are concerned.

Don't know if it's true about Danielle's boyfriend (there have only been allusions to it), but I have to say if it is true...she made her bed and now she has to lie in it. She spent three weeks in the corner whispering, cuddling, and possibly more with Nick. Moreover, she hasn't really stopped talking about him since he left. What did she think was going to happen? BB didn't ruin her life; she needs to learn to accept the consequences of her own actions. Spending all that time in the corner was also a poor strategic play (and she would already be out of the house if her Dad (and America) weren't looking out for her...she would have gone last week). It's no mystery why most of the people in the house don't like her. She ignored them for a month, and all she ever does is talk about how much she hates them (and she's not particularly good at hiding her disdain).

I remember Amber saying that a week or so ago. I haven't really watched the show regularly, but did they change the criteria for America's Next Top Model?

I wouldn't even worry about it. The Prophet sees her getting some free education and possibly doing some MOTIVATIONAL speaking.

Nick's letter didn't reveal anything.

Eric's biggest problem was the "shout out" to Zach (which didn't make the air). He felt that could be interpreted and didn't like the idea of past house guests passing information back to current house guests no matter how superficial (sorry Amber).

As much of an ass as Eric was tonight I hope people vote for Danielle or Jen to get the "woobie". Everyone else could be explained away (Amber/Jam on the block, Dick/Zach as a joke, Jess...obvious) but giving it Danielle or Jen would be extremely weird and hard to explain. Danielle doesn't like him, and his giving it to Jen would be difficult to rationalize to Jessica.

So, did Amber understand the contract she signed to get into the BB house?

It better not be a Donato because Dickless has already expressed his suspicions about Eric being connected to production.

I don't hate Eric, but I'm feeling less than charitable towards him right now. Does he have to be so smug about things?

I don't mind it. He lets Dickless go on and on about how he (Dick) made such a brilliant move to get rid of Dustin when EVERYBODY knows it was all Eric's doing.

Amber may be losing it thinking she could be on ANTM, but Dick is crazy delusional thinking he's the next Will Kirby.

The only thing Dick has in common with Will is that they live in the same metropolitan area.

Honestly, I think the funniest "woobie" recepient would be Zach. Eric could play it off as a joke, and Zach would totally get it. Too bad he doesn't get enough TV time for that to be a possibility.

so I was just skimming through some of the happenings of the last hour or so

and

Amber was praying and they wanted to play quarters so she actually ended her prayer to the effect of 'Ok, I gotta go now God' and finished it of with "God bless you God" ....

and yay for more producer influence ...
Spoiler:
Sounds like the producers are pressuring Danielle to not use the veto, and then asked Jen who she thought Danielle was going to put up as a replacement tipping her off that Danielle plans to use it.

Spoiler:
Since I criticized Eric earlier tonight I thought I'd come back and post that he did a really nice thing for Danielle tonight. She was sulking in her room (big shock!) because of what she did and didn't get for her birthday (worrying about her life outside the house). He came up talked to her for about 20 minutes about his worries for his on again/off again GF (they are officially not together, but he worries what she thinks of all the stuff with Jess). In that time he completely cheered her up. After that she went downstairs and seemed to really enjoy the evening.

Gotta love Amber. Not only does she cry all the time, but BB goes and does a whole segment on how she doesn't remember or know the meaning of "big" words. And we see that she "knew" that there were only 6 cards on the hat, but because 7 was her lucky number, intentionally got the last HOH question wrong.
