HBO should jump on Sorkin right now - I think he'd easily be able to crank out 12 episodes of whatever show a year, not to mention how HBO would mostly leave him alone. With their heavy-hitting shows gone, they could use him as much as he could use them.

Yeah, I'd really like to see Sorkin in a format where he puts together 12 episodes a year. Studio 60 clearly stretched him too thin.
Oh wow -- as I type this, "O Holy Night" from "The Christmas Show" rotates into my mp3 playlist of 10s of thousands of songs.

Went out with a whimper...
At 10 p.m., a "Shark" repeat on CBS scored a 5.5/10. The finale of "Studio 60" on NBC averaged 2.7/5, beating the 2.6/5 for ABC's "Men in Trees."

They quit, and I frankly think it was more about Wes abandoning them than about Jack. I think probably nobody who was there (like Simon) ever stopped to consider that possibility and probably just figured they were fired or possibly "asked to resign".

I was pretty under-whelmed by the finale, if only because I was sick to death of the hospital/Afghanistan storylines. Those would have been fine for 2, maybe 3 episodes but I felt like they were way stretched out and moved so slowly. I mean, really, what really happened within those stories to last 5 episodes? People waiting around the studio, people waiting around the hospital. It was very plodding and tedious to me.

I loved this finale. It was able to finish all the storylines. I really liked the fact that they kept with the hospital/Afghanistan storyline. I think it made the ending more emotional. I think this was one of the best episodes I have seen on TV for a very long time. Its really sad to see this show go. I think it was something special compared to all the reality TV and game shows on now. But apparently I am in the minority. Its a shame that there is not a channel that is willing to play a more "sophisticated" type of show.

I just think he's got enough of a fan-base that would follow him to HBO just based on his name alone, that it would be worth it for them (considering he keeps costs down), where as the same fan-base alone wouldn't be worth it for a major network.

Oh, but I kid. I think we got two Trask Security runthroughs this episode, but at least they didn't say "K&R". Not even once. This was one of the best episodes of Studio 60 in its short run. The four episodes leading in may have been a bloated waste of time, but the series definitely went out the right way.

This finale was pretty good. Although, if you ask me Jordan popped out of her drug hazed sleep awful darn quick. And I thought Harriet and Matt were a terrible couple, at least they'll only be together until they break up again Hell, if Harriet was my love interest I'd have to take drugs too.
All-in-all a good show that deserved more. Oh well, I'll follow Sorkin to his next project (preferably starring Bradley Whitford, Joshua Malina, and Josh Charles )

Yeah, I was actually going to list Peter Krause, but after 6FU I figured he'd be on to bigger and (not necessarily) better things.

His next project, at least for now.
I thought the last ep was a great way to end it, especially the ghost light, the "don't take this the wrong way" bit, and the last line with the clock.
