I have a feeling most viewers are sick of the President storylines. Without seeing the script, I'm sure the viewer will be lead to believe she is working with the bad guys or is in over her head. This would just be a rehash of season 5 and 6 President storylines.

I would like to see the President be a minor character next season unless the producers have something original.

Hopefully they move away from terrorists.

Off topic: Did Mandy the bisexual terrorist die? I have the season sets but haven't seen most of the 3rd season yet.

Geena Davis. At least then they can have an Emmy winner who played the President. Sure, not for 24, but still...

I wouldn't mind the show featuring the President yet again if the writers make "her" a competent one, who DOESN'T have an "agenda", and who DOESN'T have a staff filled with traitors and back stabbers. Just give us a decent person.

And if it IS Karen Hayes, I'm going to have a huge problem. Frankly, I'm a little sick of looking the other way when 24's writers do something totally absurd just because they weren't creative enough to think of something more reasonable.

I don't see it being Karen Hayes, since the deal they took at the end was "if you retire with Bill, you don't get charged with treason".

24 and plausibility haven't really gone together all that well in the last few seasons, so I definitely wouldn't put it past the writers to bring Hayes back.

How many damn Presidents is this show gonna go through?! And are they gonna flash-forward another 4 years to explain why there's a new President in office(unless she's replacing Palmer V.2 and Daniels)? If so, Jack's gonna be in his 50's.

24 needs to seriously ditch the President storyline. It was ok when it was David Palmer since he was such an integral part of Season 1's storyline and it would've been a mistake to let him go, but now it's every bit as cliched as the CTU antics.

And count me as skeptical about this whole thing. They sold everyone the same line of BS heading into Season 6. Remember the New York rumors and how the entire season was supposed to be about Jack saving his own ass? Neither of those panned out.

That's sort of the central tenet of 24.

I thought Defense Secretary Heller would have been a much more logical choice for President in season 6 than Wayne Palmer.

I think the mountain lion from season 2 should at least be vice-president.

I think they might get Glenn Close. She'd be great at it (see AIR FORCE ONE), and she's not opposed to doing TV series.

That makes absolutely no sense, but being TV world I guess it could happen and it would turn off a lot of people (not because of being a female, just because it would be dumb based on her character).

I'd prefer they stay away from the president angle all together.

I should have said, terrorists looking to blow up something or blah blah, whatever. Go back to a smaller crisis like season one. It will probably make the season seem less worthless after all the attacks, but they need to do something. Having terrorists blow up something every season is getting old.

No sense, really? Really? How about a guy who has no political experience outside of running his brother's campaign many years ago getting elected President? Is that sense to you?

How do we know how much political experience Wayne has? There are years of his life, before and after he was introduced in season 3, that we know next to nothing about. Also, he was his brother's Chief of Staff.

Another president? What year does 24 take place in? Wasn't there a different president in every single season? How many years is one term in the 24 world????

They've had two 4-year terms take place since the show began. It's just that they had 3 Presidents serving during the last term(Keeler, Logan, and Gardner) and 2 in a single day on 2 other occasions(Palmer and Prescott on Day 2 and Palmer V.2 and Daniels on Day 6).

I remember reading somewhere that the crew keeps track of the actual amount of time that's passed, and it's been 11 years since season 1.
