I don't understand most of you guys. You don't want to get longer episodes every once in a while?

BTW, I've owned probably 25 vcr's in my lifetime and not one of them has had the clock flashing 12:00 because I figured out how to set it. There was a whole generation out there who could NEVER set their clocks so they actually started to pre-set the clocks into the vcr's. Now, these lazy people who have a few less buttons to push in their lives are the same ones who can't seem to program a dvr to record for an extra few minutes or hour if it's a live show. Always gotta blame somebody else. Gotta go. Busy transferring my priceless collection of worthless vhs tapes that I've been collecting for 25 years. Material that will never be on official dvd only on dvd-r. |

That was just an example of what can be done instead of whining to forums and television studios, getting them to alter their programming.

Only show I watch on NBC these days is SNL and they don't pull that stunt with that show. And why would they ever?
|
Are they still going to end every show with "stay tuned for more footage from" and then just come back with the credits?

You know you can record on the D-V-D now, yuk, yuk!
I'm never mad about the super-sized episodes strange times because I set my DVD recorder from 7-10pm to get My name is Earl, Scrubs, 30 Rock & ER anyway, The only time I ever waste space on my disc is when earl is on first and that fricken Office waste's 40 mins approx until scrubs & ER come on. I know its a bit off-topic but I'm more mad that the Office got a total episode order of 30 episodes and the 7th & final season of the most brilliant & funny comedy since the Larry Sanders show, Scrubs gets only an 18 episode order. I know I'm going to get ALOT of heat for this and I'm in the extreme minority hear but The Office is overrated. |
And I find Scrubs unwatchable myself.
|
And we're bashing NBC show now why?

Now I'm not being rude or anything but do you happen to be a Seinfeld fan? Just askin' because I have noticed that alot of people that find Seinfeld there favorite show ever seem to hate Scrubs and find it as annoying as I find Seinfeld. |

Yes! Love Seinfeld. Funny how that works out I guess huh. I have tried to get into Scrubs, I just find it annoying for some reason. Arrested Development is another, I do like that one alright actually, just couldn't get to love it like so many do. And I really like 30 Rock and Earl. I totally agree with you on Arrested Development though, I think its an alright show and it can be funny sometimes but I don't hold it in such high regard as most people that watch it do and i don't think its the most brilliant, funny comedy ever. I guess it all just depends on your humour. Same goes for a show like hell M*A*S*H-you either find it a smart, funny, brilliant show like i do or you hate the damn thing. |
<- Seinfeld is probably one of my favorite shows of all time and I love Scrubs.

I love both shows, but the simple fact is Office makes NBC more money. For one, they own it (whereas ABC/Disney owns Scrubs) so they can rake in all the DVD/syndication money. Plus Office gets higher ratings, especially in the 18-49 demo. And there's the iTunes sales and whatnot. I'm just thankful Scrubs is even back for another season. Personally my thoughts are that Scrubs should have been on ABC from the very beginning. Of course the show could have got cancelled early on and we wouldn't have got to have seen 6 amazing seasons, Who knows? I think Scrubs will become more popular in syndication when the show is over, alot of shows that are very popular today wern't popular back in the day but thanks to syndication and the best thing created in a very long, long time-TV ON DVD that Scrubs fanbase will grow bigger when the show is off the air. |
So, what makes a lot of Seinfeld lovers hate Scrubs and vice versa?
|
I'm a big fan of Scrubs, but have never seen an episode on TV new. I just purchased the fifth season on DVD (my girlfriend and I already went through the first four season), and have "acquired" the sixth season in order to be ready for when it returns in the fall.
|
Oh, and I was a big fan of Seinfeld as well.
|
I'm away for a few days and my "Super-sized" thread turns into a Seinfeld/Scrubs match.
