Season 6 was probably the lightest season of the series, but I don't agree that Season's 8 & 9 were darker than the rest of the entire series. The ones from 1-5 I think we can attribute to the mythology that they followed. The last 2 seasons were pratically monster of the week episodes so in that regard, they were darker than the monster of the week episodes present in all the other seasons. |
I think the all time champ was The Jeffersons, but the Simpsons look to be claiming the title right now.

X-Files just ran out of momentum and ideas. Adding new agents wouldn't have helped - they just tapped out the whole premise.

Even though I haven't watched an episode, I'm getting the feeling that American Idol is going on way too long. If people start f'ing with the voting to get a joke into the final rounds, it's time to close up shop.
Also, the "singers" that come out of that show have all been serious disgraces. |
Even with all this excessive promotion you *STILL* don't find Kelly Clarkson to be a top notch singer?
And here I thought I was the only one. |

So what, in your opinion, makes Clarkson better than the countless other pop singers that are also sold in your local music store?
What is her lasting appeal other than "hey, thats the chick that won on American Idol!" I give you Underwood and the one who won the Oscar (don't know her name) but what is everyone else doing besides clinging to fleeting fame? |
After last night's results show debacle, I respectfully submit...On the Lot.

So many to list. Some I don't think were yet mentioned:

Coach (9 years! Arrested Development went for less than 3! For shame!) I do agree that the Drew Carey show lasted a few seasons too long but the reason for that was ABC signed a contract deal with them earlier in the shows run to last 9 seasons and when the ratings fell dramatically they had no choice but to keep the show on and burn off the final seasons. Good Times should have been cancelled after the first episode though, It's probally the only norman lear sitcom i didn't love because it really wasn't that funny even though it was a spin-off from the classic Maude with the one & only Bea Arthur! I think alhrough i don't agree alot of people might think the greatest & most brilliant show on television, Scrubs overstayed its weclome this season (6th) I disagree but I'm surprised no one has brought that up yet. |

I was actually going to post that. But I do think this season got better towards the end. |
I was actually going to post that. But I do think this season got better towards the end. And althrough not as standout as the previous 5 seasons I still thought all in all it was a solid season and there is only going to be 18 for its 7th & final so i don't think the show will 'Jump the Shark', It might if it went for 9-11 seasons though. |
