That poll is pretty silly. Heroes is not even in the same league as Lost IMO.
I can't handle bad acting/cheese for that kind of thing.

I think the whole season 3 has been good, except a few filler eps.

I'm not sure in what sense you mean by that. If you mean that Heroes isn't nearly as good as LOST, I think you're making the same mistake the folks who say the opposite are making. If you mean there is no sense comparing them because they're very different shows with very different aims, I would certainly agree.

I'm all for people making their own personal lists of shows they think are similar in certain ways and what shows they like better than others, but I think it's just silly for a whole community of people to try to measure LOST versus Heroes and vice versa. It reminds me of the people who insist on comparing LOTR to Harry Potter, LOTR to Star Wars, or Star Wars to Star Trek.

They just are not at the same quality level. Not even needing to compare anything about the story/premise at all. I think the only people who would be able to stomach something like Heroes are people who watch a lot of TV and are numb to the poor quality that is so prevalent. Whereas people who don't watch much TV at all because we think it sucks (like me) can still watch Lost because the standard is at a much higher level, more film quality than TV for the most part.

I welcome your personal opinion of the quality, but I'd suggest to you it's not a simple matter of Heroes is at x quality and LOST is at y. There are reasons for complaint where both shows are concerned. Heroes has a lot going for it that I imagine LOST wishes it had. For one, the pacing and chapter per season setup seems to work much more effectively than what LOST has, even just comparing season one to season one. LOST certainly features more consistent screenwriting and acting, though.

Yeah it's definitely subjective.

It's the acting and dialogue for me, that just makes me think 'tv show' whearas with Lost at least a lot of the time I can be more immersed. I'm picky though, except for when I'm not.
