You think network execs are going to volunteer to open packages shipped by upset Jericho fans? There's a lot of whackjobs out there. This is not a good idea.
Because network execs open their own mail.

In for $5. BTW - there was no shipping. I think they're "pooling" the orders and just delivering bulk boxes of nuts.

I doubt we will get a mini series or anything like that, more like a website with a rough idea of what happens next season, kinda like what they did for Smith

Contracts for the show expire on June 15. So basically, the fight is on until then.

Didn't Veronica Mars, back in season 1, get brought back through letters? Or maybe it was the threat of cancellation that never went through because of letters.

This YouTube link turned up on the CBS board. Apparently the video was prepared by the producers of the show before the cancellation notice came out. I hope the "Season 2" at the end turns out to be prophetic and not just wishful thinking.

And for those keeping score, nutsonline.com has now delivered over 11,000 lbs. of nuts to CBS. Why has David Letterman not jumped into this one already ?

Veronica Mars never got brought back from anything. There were fears of cancellation in both spring 2005 and 2006, but VM had the head of UPN solidly behind it. It was never in much real danger until this year.

By the way, the nutsonline thing is going gangbusters - they've sold over 16,000 lbs of nuts... They've even got videos of the nuts being delivered.

http://www.nutsonline.com/jericho

Starting to get media attention and all kinds of traction.

No word yet from CBS. Keep the pressure on.

I don't know about not being in much real danger . . . I just remember Kristen Bell on one of those talk shows (probably Kimmel) talking about how they were going to cancel it but there were a bunch of rabid fans which prevented that from happening.

If this doesn't work, round two should be to send bull testicles to CBS.

As much as I love KB, I don't think her answer acknowledging the fans on Kimmel can be taken as an accurate account of the danger the show may have been in. It was a nice way for her to say nice things about the faithful.

Throw it on the channel previously known as UPN, CBS was Ch 2 in NY, UPN was ch 9, it is now???? unknown network name.

I do know It is a consortium of stations owned by CBS and company, its just not called CBS.

In NY it is referred to as WWOR Ch 9 , and was known as the previously defunct UPN, I don't visit the station anymore, but it exists on my dial, I am sure its the same with everywhere else UPN used to exists. They showed misc sucky telenovels over the past season

It's a good spot to thrown Jericho and other nurturing shows that don't make CBS' 10 million viewer quota.

That is what I am trying to say.

You're confusing your networks. WWOR is now an affiliate of MyNetworkTV (and owned by NewsCorp/FOX), the network that airs the telenovelas.

CBS co-owns (along with Warner Bros.) The CW, which in NYC is on WPIX ch. 11 (owned by Tribune).

Neither station is owned by CBS. The only NYC station owned by CBS is the actual CBS affiliate.

could this actually work? Could these petitions and crazy stunts actually net us at least a wrap-up movie?

CBS has cancelled a few decently rated shows in the last few years. But what suprised me is why another network doesn't pick up some of these shows. I mean, couldn't Fox or NBC make more money on Jericho than developing some show they'll just cancel in three weeks (actually only Fox will likely cancel the show that soon, NBC will try harder).

Yeah. Jericho had no CGI, live stunts, and rented a tank once a season. This show could not cost that much to make. Why not let a less fussy station try it on for size?

Someone on another forum brought up a good point. Why are they sending nuts? Would sending salt be more appropriate?

Why not go over to -

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/videos.php

- and watch the season finale (episode 22) ?

In fact, while you're there go ahead and watch all 22 episodes in order and find out for yourself what all the fuss is about ? You'll be writing CBS some hate mail and sending them peanuts before Memorial Day

Geez..I am an idiot. I have watched every episode. And just did not put two and two together until I remembered the last few episodes. My bad.

On a side note...I am sure the nutsonline guys are having a very good month.

Highly doubt network execs are going to be opening any mail.
And the packages are being shipped by nutsonline.com, not upset jericho fans. Unless teh nutsonline guys enjoyed the show.
