Judges will narrow down bands from all walks of life musicians of different ages, family acts, garage bands, etc. to 10 semi-finalists, who will perform in front of a live studio audience. Nevertheless, as her father, RONALD (Ron McLarty, "Law & Order"), is constantly pointing out, something is missing from Sarah's life. Her hard work may garner accolades, but when she goes home at night, she is very much alone. The plot for New Amsterdam is convoluted as hell, and sounds more like a movie than an ongoing series.

I guess the theme for new shows this year is immortal crime-fighters, between this and the vampire show.

Looks like I don't have to even bother with Fox til January when 24 premieres. I might give Terminator 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear a look as well. I'd love it if they'd convince Earl Boen to appear as Dr. Silberman.

I noticed that Company Man didn't make the schedule. Maybe this is a good thing, now the producers and writers of 24 can work on making up for the disastrous season 6 without any distractions. I did hear FOX has to pay a 6 figure penalty for not picking it up.

Nice Kitchen Nightmares is getting a full hour. Everything I had seen on it had it at thirty minutes so I was worried there was no way it would be as good as the UK version. I still don't think it will be as good but at least with an hour, we get more of his yelling about the problems instead of five minutes then the fix.
