Episode 13

Title:

Spoiler:
I Wanna See if I Can Make a Deal

Description:

Spoiler:
The winner of the car reward challenge tries to use the prize as a bargaining chip; the tribe is stunned to learn who must go to Exile Island; another castaway is eliminated.

Damn, I'm late this week!! No time for a poll. Sorry. :(

OldDude 05-10-07 07:20 PM

I missed the first few minutes and tuned in just as the reward challenge for truck was starting. Did I miss anything?

What the hell is Yau-man thinking?

the action 05-10-07 08:05 PM

I haven't shouted at somebody on the television in awhile, what a stupid thing to say at tribal...I'm glad the backlash fell on that moron.

aktick 05-10-07 08:07 PM

Another good tribal! So all 4 went against Earl and Yaoman. Would've been nice if they could've kept both idols for the final 5 and played them both, guaranteeing their place in the final 4....but this way there'll be some tension in the final 5 vote to see if Cassandra, Boo, and Dreamz stick together and guess at who has the idol.

I think it might make sense for Earl to go against Yaoman and keep the idol for himself.

The others just have to hope Earl or Yao don't win immunity.

And it seems you could again tell who won immunity by watching the finale preview -
Spoiler:
looks like Dreamz has it at one of the next 2 tribals, and if you can trust the editing, it looks like he gives it up.

Goldberg74 05-10-07 08:09 PM

Stacey ain't smart.

And did anyone else notice that it was Boo driving Dreamz's truck?

SunMonkey 05-10-07 08:12 PM

So who gets the vehicle curse?

Anyway, good intuition on Yau-man's part at Tribal Council.

Patman 05-10-07 08:17 PM

It's nice to see the HII being played necessarily. Cassandra definitely turned on her alliance early.

Early? Not early enough, imo. Last week was the week to do it.

Crocker Jarmen 05-10-07 08:48 PM

This season certainly turned around. I was about to stop watching, but my interest has resurged after these last few weeks.

I don't see how Dreamz can keep the agreement he made with Yau Man.

wewantflair 05-10-07 09:24 PM

This season has turned from abysmally boring to quite entertaining. The past 3 weeks have been great. I love how Stacy sealed her own fate, and both Earl and Yao picked up on her blunder.

asianflow 05-10-07 09:28 PM

Yao-Man has really surprised me.

When the cast was announced, I thought he would be one of the first people voted out. He's played a good game so far. Giving the car to Dreamz was a ballsy move. He just won a free car and he gave it away for only a verbal promise. For some reason I actually believe Dreamz will hold up his end of the deal.

I wouldn't want to go against Yao-Man in the final 3.

Phod 05-10-07 09:34 PM

This season was a bit low on personalities but it's had some of the best strategy and tribals in awhile.

Boo had to drive - Dreamz doesnt have a license!! rotfl

What kind of example would CBS be sending if they let Dreamz go tearing through Figi on a dirt road without a license? LOL

kinetic 05-10-07 09:58 PM

i really fucking hated this season but man.. this has turned into the best survior season in the past few years. also.. stacy is a fucking idiot, my god!

edit: i also respect boo. He seems to be in it to win, i think he realizes he can't convince the others to let him stay so he doesn't even try to get in on the alliance. I wouldn't be bothered if he won this season at all.

Red Dog 05-10-07 10:04 PM

Stacy is one dumb broad. I will never understand why people can't remain silent when Jeff tries to pepper them with questions. I suppose people can't resist hearing themselves yap.

Anyhoo - interesting deal. I'm a little unclear on how it guarantees Yau to the final 3 even if he and Dreamz are in the Final 4 - it's no given that he or Dreamz would win the Immunity Challenge at that stage.

This season really turned around in the last 3-4 episodes. The first 2/3 of the season royally sucked.

Patman 05-10-07 10:13 PM

Yau-man thought that if Dreamz somehow made it to the final four, winning immunity would be the only way for Dreamz to further himself into the final 3 (i.e. final tribal council) because he was fairly confident that if Dreamz didn't get immunity, Dreamz would be voted out 3-1, or at least tied 2-2 (and would be subjected to a tie-breaker to get to the final 3). So by trading Dreamz the car for the conditional possibility/hedge that it's Dreamz who won immunity in the final four and would give it up to Yau-man, Yau-man guarentees himself a spot in the final tribal council, and Dreamz is on his own, and most likely would be voted out by the remaining 2 others.

Red Dog 05-10-07 10:16 PM

Yeah, and a 2-2 tie vote (say Cassandra or Boo + Dreamz vote Yau) is a distinct possibility - that's why I don't understand what makes it a 'guarantee.' Now if he had secured a Dreamz vote (for anyone but Yau) + Immunity in the F4, then he would have a guarantee.

Regardless, Yau has serious problems in the next vote. He is the biggest threat to win in a F3. I have to think that Boo and Dreamz are certain votes against him. Cassandra is a likely vote against him.

cdollaz 05-10-07 10:23 PM

What an idiot!!! I don't think Yau was going to play the HII until the moron opened her stupid mouth. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! That may be the most stupid thing ever done on Survivor.

My thoughts exactly.

Goldberg74 05-10-07 10:59 PM

So, is Yau Man's HII going to be rehidden again?

mrpayroll 05-10-07 11:02 PM

That was one of the best tribal councils I have seen since I started watching Season 7 (All Stars). Great editing by the Survivor crew.

Chris

Silt 05-10-07 11:04 PM

One of the all-time dumbest things said at a tribal council...good job Stacey.

I'd love to see DreamZ win that F4 immunity and then not give the idol to Yau Man, and then vote him off!

This season started off as pure ass, but it's been pretty good these past few weeks. I really didn't have a pick of who I'd like to see win it, but I think I'll cheer for DreamZ. His odd gameplay has saved this season I think.

Trelach24 05-10-07 11:24 PM

I'd love to see Yau-Man and Earl work a scheme like having Yau tell Dreamz that he had both idols all along after exile and therefore eliminating himself from being voted out next tribal while Earl still gets to play the idol.

PacMan2006 05-11-07 12:01 AM

Can someone give me a recap of what Stacy did or said at Tribal council? I had a little bit too itchy of a trigger finger on the fast forward, lol.

Thanks.

chowderhead 05-11-07 01:04 AM

VERY cool episode. Yau-Man is the MAN! I hope either he or Earl wins.
I do like the plan of telling dreamz that yau-man has another HII. Looks like Earl doesn't balance that well which is bad news for the last immunity challenge if he gets that far.
