This was a great episode maybe the best of all. This is a very good show would hate to see it go. If you take Barney out this show would definitely hurt the show but the rest is very good just more subtle.

FWIW, The HIMYM myspace posted this as a comment today -

CBS will announce their fall 2007 line up on May 16. They officially have not renewed any of their shows...We're confident we'll be back.

Ep was slow except for Barney. The last 10 min was comic gold...Barney whispering the lady's showcase bid before Bob said it - haha! Where's the gif!??

Yeah, at Futon Critic they even have the CSI shows listed as 'fate to be determined'.

I love this show and thought this was another great episode. As always, Barney is the reason to tune in. The whole Price is Right stuff was great. I loved his training, working on how he should "come on down," etc. The other contestants had no chance against him.

I hope this is getting renewed. One of my favorites, and definitely the best sitcom on CBS.

Dune buggy.

I love how TPIR gives away, in addition to cars & boats, such useless prizes. Like grandfather clocks, huge popcorn carts, crystal chandeliers, greenhouses, grand pianos, etc.

It would've been funnier if Swarley had just gone on the show for the sake of it. The stuff with him believing Bob Barker was his father was kind of stupid.

I don't think it was necessarily stupid that he believed Bob Barker was his father. We've seen his childhood at least once prior, in the episode "Singles Stamina."

During that time, it was implied that his mother was essentially served no vital role within his life. As such, he latched on to the one thing which was always there for him - The Price is Right (or, namely, Bob Barker).

Granted, his continued belief of this notion as he progressed into his late 20's/early 30's is a bit of a stretch, but the mind is a fickle creature.

i thought for sure that he was going to say that he didn't reveal himself to be Bob's son because he wouldn't have been able to keep the prizes...

Well I guess that destroys my belief that contestants are randomly pulled from the audience.

Great episode though. Barney pushing away the other contestant at the wheel

I didn't enjoy this episode very much. Still one of my favorite shows though, and I hope it comes back next year.
