Kinda glad Issac is gone. Did anyone notice that Sylar's portraits were of a much different quality than Issac's? I wonder if Issac's natural ability as a talented artist/painter simply allowed him to render the future through his subconscious. It'd be interesting to see that Sylar tries to channel the future using the ability but doesn't have the technical painting expertise to show anything in as much detail. Wouldn't THAT be a kick in the pants?!
Agreed on the first part. That's what I took from it. And I loved the second part which you are referring to. A nice touch.

Obviously just guessing.
That's what I think. Each string would be a different timeline. Very similar to Doc Brown's chalkboard drawing in Back to the Future II. There is one distinct event that caused the original split and Hiro is trying to find it... unsuccessfully. Each time he changes something another split is created creating a web of timelines and outcomes.

Yes, Sylar froze that guy.

Mom was pinned to the wall with a set of steak knives - easily telekinetically throw from the kitchen at her.

I don't think he was after the girl necessarily since it was the dad that had his brain removed. Which means... assuming that girl was that dude's legitimate kid AND Sylar can hear the ticking in people's brains then not every child of a super-powered person inherits the trait.

Which explains why every hero with 2 super parents is super (Claire, Micah) but not every sibling pair is super (Hiro & his sister - again, assuming that one and only one of Hiro's parents are super).

Or Sylar can only hear the ticking when he's homing in on a specific target in front of him, not just one nearby.

Nice!
Though i only watch the show and don't follow the online comics, so I am sure I am missing some details about the show, so its cool.

Though I do disagree with one point....
I just think since he took the time/effort to break into the Police/FBI place that the little girl was very important to him. Maybe she was a witness to him doing all that (and he wants her dead) or she has powers, still not sure, but I do think its pretty important he put forth the effort in getting to her.

Just saw the episode and loved it (had to get it off iTunes since my HDTivo decided to flake out during the one show we most wanted to see).

As people have mentioned, the fact that Peter got hit in the back of the head by the glass bugged me too. However, the more I thought about it, it seemed to me like he could have just turned away from Sylar when he saw the glass coming - a pretty normal reaction. It's bugging me less now

And for those that say it was "obvious" that pulling the glass out of Peter's head would revive him - um, duh? We know Peter doesn't die, we know that Claire knows about his power and her power and what something in the brain does to it. Doesn't seem to be too much of a stretch that would work.

In fact, when we were watching the flaked-out version of the show, the removal of the glass was skipped over and I still knew how they had brought him back. Nothing earth-shattering there.

The thing about Linderman's plan is ... well, that's what happened in real life on 9/11. We all pulled together in one big kumbaya for about a month. Then it was back to business as usual.

In one of the first episodes, we saw Peter use Isaac's power -- he drew a stick figure of himself flying.

Good episode. Looked like Mrs. Petrelli showed Peter and Nathan her power judging by the looks on their faces.
Something seems amiss with Peter's healing power. Future Hiro told Peter in the subway that he looks different without the scar. How can he have a scar if he has regenerating powers?
And after Sylar cut Peter's hair, wouldn't it come back. Clair's seemed to after getting burned by Ted.

Also, after watching the 3 episode marathon over the weekend, I don't think we've learned anything about the key Simone had when Isaac shot her.

As for next week's previews:
Spoiler:
Although I think it looks great, and think it will be good, I can see a few people on here being upset with the episode. A "What if..." episode that doesn't move the story along? What will they say?

But they wouldn't. Peter doesn't know what powers Sylar has collected (hell, I'm betting he's picked up several more than even we know!) so he can't practice or access them as readily as say invisibility. And from what we know of how Sylar "steals" powers, there is a skull opening and brain fiddling required for him to get them (I'm guessing since everyone dies that way - though what he really DOES to get them has not been thoroughly detailed).

Well, if you read the online comics, it might make a bit more sense -
Spoiler:
I think the idea of the show will be Hiro thinking, "what do I have to change in the past to stop the explosion?" And somehow seeing things 5 years in the future (or in "future Hiro's" case, the present) will allow Hiro to piece things together and figure it out.

No it wasn't. It was a lot rougher and unrefined. I remember thinking that when I saw it, that it was cool they made the distinction that artistic talent doesn't come with the power.

I noticed that too.

On a related note, were all the comic like paintings in Lindermans place done by Isaac? Some of them seemed to be a different, more cartoony style, but with the hiatus I can't remember exactly what his style looked like.

I was wondering that myself. Some of them seemed subtly different, especially in HD.

The key doesn't really mean anything. She had tried to give Isaac the key to his place back and he wouldn't take it. I'm assuming that she used to key to get in when he blew her away.

I think future Hiro came from a timeline where Peter hadn't met Claire. Now that the timeline has been changed Peter doesn't get the scar.

Oh yeah, that's right, now I remember. They should have had a 4 episode marathon then.
