A Question about TV Commercials
So I've been acting as an extra in a few commercials here and I'd like to see them so that I can see what the end product looks like (and for my own narcissistic reasons, of course).
In particular, one particular advertisement was for Sun dishwasher tablets - a European product. The parent co. of Sun is Unilever. So I made this ad back in November. It was the next adventure of this particular trio of scientists who are trying out the new Sun product (All-in-One), but that's largely irrelevant to my question. The relevant part is the word NEXT.
You see, this series of amusing commercials featuring this trio of scientists has been very successful for the company - so much so that they keep rehiring the same trio and making commercial after commercial.
This comes up now because I just shot the sequel to that commercial over the past two days.
Now to the context of my question: As I was searching the net to find that first commercial I participated in, I couldn't find it online. I looked at the company's website (www.unilever.com) and its regional sites (www.unilever.ie) which should feature Sun, and I did not find the commercials.
My question is this: Why don't these companies put these ads on their websites?
You would think with a successful advertising campaign that they would want to give the public an opportunity to see it as many times as they like as it would only increase the possibility of them actually buying the product.
Thoughts? (And bonus points if you actually locate more than just the Lipstick ad - which is an early ad featuring two of the three scientists, including the principle actor, as a third scientist was added after the first few ads in the series.)

well they frequently do post their commercials on their websites, although i think one of the reason you don't see it, is that they may have to pay actors and creative people royalties if they do.
for large conglomerates such as unilever, there may simply be too many for them to process. but there are many many 3rd party websites that will post them. adcritic.com and clipland.com are 2 that i know of, in addition to youtube etc.
