The possible foreshadowing I picked up on was that Tony seriously needs to lose some weight with his health and medical history (The dinner scene almost made me think me was in for a heart attack)...
Also there has to be a conclusion to this Tony/Christopher story. Will Tony retire and get out of the game and let Chris take over. Will Tony end up feeling so much bitterness toward him that he ends up killing him?
I dont know but i cant wait to find out...
This show has gotta be the best and most entertaining piece of art i have ever come across...
I will miss it dearly ......

Phil and his family at the bar and Tim Daly's character explaining the movie to Paulie were hilarious.
I thought my recording fucked up as well during the hit at the restaurant.
Can't wait for next week.

Many memorable quotes in that episode. My favorite:
(Tony commenting about Phil Leotardo and his guys at the Cleaver after-party)
"Look, the family of early man."

I can see a few more hits as the players in NY vie for position...but ultimately I think that we'll see the "big guys" ponder the futility and emptiness of it all and close with, "eh, you can have it. It's not worth the agita." and walk away from the life.

Just caught the ep. last night. I'm in the school that Phil's comments left the impression that he was about to unleash hell. Of course given Chase's track record it most likely means that he is walking away from the life and we won't hear from him much anymore. All I know is that we have been waiting for all hell to break loose for some time now, and I actually took the last scene of the ep. before the hiatus as the last time we will see everyone in a state of peace in that family. But hey, I could live with some of these people making it.
Loved the song at the end, perfect illustration of the tension all the characters were most likely feeling.

I thought that was one of the most insightful commentaries on Tony's character, Broderick Crawford mirroring Tony, bathrobe, temper, etc. A cartoon mob boss. I had a feeling that that set Tony into feeling like his life was a joke.

While it is obvious Tony is upset with Christopher, he has not given him any reason to terminate him outright as of yet. He hasn't squealed, and he hasn't whacked anyone important in other hierarchies. The only thing he has done is show a lack of interest in the business, which has happened before and resulted in Tony telling Christopher to either get serious again or get lost.
Of course who knows, that could change. There is a chance Chris might get linked to someone in a terrorist plot that brings too much heat down on him to keep around.

i doubt that tony would let chris walk. wasn't the first episode of the season centered on a lower level member of the crew that wanted out of the life, was not permitted to leave by tony, and subsequently committed suicide?

The irony is going to be that out of everyone on Tony's crew, Chris has been the most loyal (my memory is fuzzy on that point so I may be wrong) and he (Chris) will be the one wacked for disloyalty (or what will mistakenly be interpreted as such).

AJ isn't married.
Not a chance in hell. If he leaves the business, his memory doesn't vanish. He knows enough about Tony to bring him down, and ratting on your friends is a lot easier when you haven't looked them in the eye in a year and you're not relying on them to live your life.

Not to mention Tony could end up worrying that Chris may let more of the family's business in on his next film(s). Ever since the first season, Chris talked about getting into films. Second season he was pissing Tony off about some screen play. Chris always wanted in on the movies. The next time we hear of it, Chris brings it to Tony's attention while he's just out of a coma in the hospital. This won't end well. Chris in the film industry has always been a problem since day one.
