Has anyone been listening to the 1/2 hour Podcast following the show?

it's hit or miss, but there's a few nuggets here or there

If you happened to win, you'd only have to split your winnings with about 900,000 other Lost fans who think they're the only ones who ever thought of that.

Oh, and can't wait...

Whoa! That Post ID - 497619 - has unique LOST characteristics associated with it. Taking the digits in that post ID number and applying an array of math functions (performed linearly, left to to right) gives the following:

49 / 7 + 6 x 1 - 9 = 4
4 + 9 - 7 - 6 - 1 + 9 = 8
4 x 9 - 7 - 6 + 1 - 9 = 15
4 + 9 + 7 + 6 - 1 - 9 = 16
4 + 9 + 7 - 6 x 1 + 9 = 23
49 + 7 - 6 + 1 - 9 = 42

Since the Lost numbers are associated with that post number, it shows clear ownership of this thread to Rogue588. :p

aktick 04-11-07 11:40 AM

Can't wait! :)

Is the finale going to be a 2 hr. or 2 parter?

cornflakeguy 04-11-07 12:14 PM

If any one is interested.

1310am The Ticket in Dallas, TX is having a special one-off "Lost Post Game Show" after the show, presumably at 10pm Central Time.

It may be good, it may be funny, it may be a train wreck.

And your spoilers for tonight. Honestly, not much substantively, more topical.

Spoiler:

Episode 3.16: One of Us (Juliet-centric)
Airdate: April 11, 2007

* new 04/11 - Not only will we find out how Juliet came to the island, but we'll learn why she stuck around and the reason her people gassed her. And unlike some of the show's other "answers," these make perfect sense in the context of the overall narrative. We'll also discover that: Claire's kidnapping didn't exactly go as planned; Juliet carried on an affair with an Other whose name wasn't Ben or Henry; There are real feelings between Sawyer and Kate. I know because there's a moment between the two of 'em that made me go all misty-eyed and sniffly, and that's never happened to me while watching these two before; Sun's fetus has bigger problems than figuring out who its daddy is. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
* 04/05 - Next week is a Juliet flashback that has some very important reveals, from what I hear. We'll see how she came to the island, and we'll also get a much better sense of her true intentions. Source: Kristin on E!Online
* 03/26 - Guest starring are Robin Weigert as Rachel, William Mapother as Ethan Rom, Brett Cullen as Goodwin, Andrew Divoff as Mikhail, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Joah Buley as other dude and Tyrone Howard as airport guard. Source: ABC
* 03/24 - Jack's joyous reunion is cut short when his fellow survivors realize that an Other is accompanying him; a mysterious illness strickens Claire. Source: WCHS
* 03/05 - On the UK Show "Richard and Judy," Carlton Cuse revealed that the Charlie "problem" would be resolved in episode 16. Source: Spoilers Lost [Note: It is unknown he was referring to the death premonition or Charlie's attack on Sun.]
* 02/28 - Pictures taken from the set show that the episode will feature Robin Weigert, William Mapother and Nestor Carbonell. Source: Spoilers Lost [Note: Click on source's link to view the pictures.]
* 02/14 - [Juliet will] get a second flashback in April that will pick up exactly where [Episode 3.07] left off. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

I just started to listen to the Lost Podcast for the past two weeks, but here's a few:
Spoiler:

Locke will reappear in 3 weeks.
- An interview with the Juliette actress last week, revealed some insight into her psyche, at least as much as she was allowed to reveal
- There's a good chance we'll see a Christmas Ep next year, I kid you not.
- The Paulo ep on the Beach with the wreckage was shot with the original actors in blue screen with the original 2 hour film in overlay, and the fueselage was saved for two years for such a reason to add in extra realism.
- Locke was defintely not the guy falling down in front of Hurley
- We will see Bernard again, they will have a major story arc in a few weeks

aktick, i'm not sure how long it'll be, but I unfortunately stumbled across that it'll be Jack-centric.

WTF? For the finale? Boo...UNLESS it's about
Spoiler:
what happened to him between the time we saw him leaving on the boat and playing football. That could be interesting. Don't they usually do that type of thing for finales?

I don't mind it, as long as we get to find out more about
Spoiler:
his tattoos!

:)

If DVDJosh is to be believed, according to him (from last week's thread), the finale will focus on
Spoiler:
Ben in two-parts
.

Keith6601 04-11-07 03:53 PM

Yeah, the flashbacks for the rest of the season are:
Spoiler:

3.16 Juliet Burke
3.17 Desmond Hume
3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon
3.19 Jack Shephard
3.20 Karen & Gerald DeGroot
3.21 Charlie Pace
3.22-23 Benjamin Linus

The question I have is: Does Desmond's prediction come true in episode 21 since it's Charlie's?

I can't wait for everyone on the island to be pissed that Juliet tells them nothing while her flashbacks tell the viewers some stuff. Should be interesting.

I thought so, but I'm not sure if this throws a wrench into that:

Spoiler:
Episode 19 - "The Brig" is Jack-centric, and will see both the return of the Anthony Cooper/Locke storyline and a revelation about Jack that will apparently leave us "talking through the summer."

The 2-hour season finale Episode 22/23 - "Through The Looking Glass (Parts One and Two)" is a Ben-centric episode.

Rogue588 04-11-07 07:43 PM

Lest anyone think i'm making it up...I don't actively seek out spoilers for Lost like Mssrs Hardercore & DVD Josh, but I happened across it while reading this week's Ask Ausiello.

hardercore 04-11-07 07:49 PM

Speaking of Ausiello, here's the non-spoilerish stuff he had to say about tonight:

"Before we get to the spoilers, I feel it's my responsibility to tell you that this is easily the best Lost episode of the season. Bar none. You want answers? This one's got 'em in spades. "

I love the hype train. Can't fucking wait.

As for that quote,
Spoiler:
there is a charlie-centric ep later this year
so I doubt anything major happens tonight.

Ausi says that just about every week.

movieking 04-11-07 08:44 PM

I definitely wouldn't rank it as the best episode of the season, but there were a few questions answered, and some holes filled in. Pretty good episode overall.

movieking 04-11-07 08:49 PM

And BTW, another fantastic ending.

Spoiler:
Looks like Juliet is still working for the Others, and is only in the camp for Sun

I know, my thinking on it was more along the lines of,
Spoiler:
maybe we learn something tonight that resolves Desmond's prediction of his upcoming demise and therefore his episode later this season may not include his death.

RichC2 04-11-07 09:08 PM

Its funny, the directing quality of this show varies so radically episode to episode (and noticeable right off the bat). I know theres different directors on each ep, but you'd figure the producers would have hand in trying to keep it more consistent.

Matrix flashback.

maingon 04-11-07 09:21 PM

I liked the line 3 men and a baby and sawyer says he counted hurly twice.

DthRdrX 04-11-07 09:55 PM

Spoiler:

So how did she know Sawyer killed that guy before getting on the plane? The conversation outside the homes tells us they didn't expect the crash, and the flame station conversation sounded like they didn't have any background info on the passengers. Ben had the Russian do background searches. I wonder if the police off the island have figured out Sawyer killed him?

good ending

liked the requiem for a dream music in next week's trailer

maingon 04-11-07 10:02 PM

Thought it was a pretty good episode. I love that this show is filmed in Hawaii. It gives it a big budget movie feel. Some of the shots when she got out of the sub were great. The preview looked good too.

Think we will ever see Walt and Micheal again? I miss seeing Micheal.

RichC2 04-11-07 10:02 PM

Wonder if Aronofsky will finally be directing his episode.

Spoiler:
That is what I just told my wife. WTF? No classified information would give them

btw, tonight's episode is friggin awesome! Damn the pretty face fooled me. I didn't expect Juliette to be a mole.
