I haven't really enjoyed the past few episodes, maybe this one will get things back on track. Not enough Cylons in the past few episodes!

According to some interviews, some of the cast thinks these last 2 eps are the 2 best they've ever done. Let's hope so.

I had to read AICN and get spoiled for the next two episodes. I only did it to renew my faith in the series. I am looking forward to them.

You can sample the entire screener of the season finale (both parts) online.
I don't think I'm going out of line saying that it is freaking amazing.

All the little pieces are coming together. Everything we've seen means something. I know the execution of a lot of the stories seemed off-kilter for a lot of this season, but regardless of the production quality, all the story threads were there, and this is putting it all together.

This is what a reimagining does. It takes everything you know and turns it upside down, and it still all fits.

I thought this episode was a little underwhelming.

And I did miss some earlier in the season...did Lee Adama truly not know anything about how Helen died? And if so, why would Admiral Adama think otherwise?

How many people are rooting for Baltar? Any witnesses that could be put on the stand to testify he signed that death warrant under duress?

Saul and Ellen Tigh were dirtside during the occupation, Lee was still in command of the Pegasus. The way it was shown, only Saul really knows how it went down.

That is what I got from it too.

Good episode. Spoiler reports have been spot on so far. Can't wait for the big finish.

Did they get rid of the theme credits this week?

Yeah - I think they wanted to pack in as much time as possible.

I know what's coming for next week; you might want to pre-emptively wire your jaws shut so they won't get bruised.

Then what was the old man's problem with Lee? Lee said he didn't know what happened....how could old man Adama assume any different?

I'd imagine it's just a little more fuel for the fire that is their relationship at this point.

Besides, some people apparently know, and the Admiral might have assumed that Lee would have learned thru the grapevine by now.

The trial is decent. Not sure if I like the recurrence of the President's cancer - has a "been there done that" feel to it. Next week is the season finale already?

Anyone else annoyed by these "bonus scenes"? It's not a bonus if the ep ends a few minutes early to fit in - it's just a scene out of order.

More entertaining than the last few weeks. I agree with brainee, the cancer storyline was played out long ago.

Strange, I can't find it anywhere (newsgroups, etc). Think you could PM me with some info?

I guess with Starbuck gone, it's now time to make Apollo the out-of-character whiney bitch of the fleet. Go get 'em, Matlock.

To the folks complaining about the cancer storyline, why don't you run that past some folks in real life that thought they had cancer beat, till it came back again. Ask them if they think it's boring.

Edit to add: not to mention the fact that so many people complained about the quick fix cure last season. Well, here's the payoff.

Hate the bonus scenes. They don't even seem to be complete but cut off abruptly. Very lame.

I really liked it... an improvement over the last few weeks...I'd say of the 3rd season episodes, half of them have felt like filler, which is too bad because I thought after a few duds in season 2, they were going to shape up...glad to have an episode that focused more on the core characters. In the past few episodes, they've had a focus on peripheral or new characters, making the events and shocking revelations in them just dull. I thought the trial scenes were excellent and we got some great material from Tigh and Roslin. I'm really looking forward to the finale, I haven't read the spoilers, but hearing people's reactions to them has me really pumped for it.

Well, the old man was on a bender of Tigh-like proportions, so that and his anger of seeing what was done to his friend probably loosened his tongue more than just a little.

Sure ... because not being happy with a BSG storyline equals insensitivity towards cancer victims

Two wrongs don't make a right. They seemed to paint themselves into a corner (plotwise) with the cancer storyline earlier, since they clearly weren't going to kill her off. It had dramatic power, but its like the writers remembered they wanted this character up and about so waved a magic sci-fi wand. Is this really a "payoff", or just something the writers whipped up to make the trial more dramatic, only to be dropped later with another sci-fi magic wand? Only time (and more episodes) will tell for sure, but I'm a bit wary.
