Two male and two female contestants will be eliminated tonight based on the voting results.

The only question I have for this week is who is going to have to be sacrificed so that SANJAYA can stink up the place for one more week with his ironed hair and his stupid smile and his off key voice and his whole creepy Michael Jackson demeanor? Ugh!

Is this show live? Wiki had Antonella booted a few minutes before she was called up to the stage.

Ryan Seacrest claims it's "live", but there is some bit of transmission delay, but we're talking seconds, not minutes, of delay, usually.

I didn't know if someone was screwing around on Wiki or not. It was during the commercial that her name popped up. Then the show returned, Ryan talked a bit and announced her name. It was weird.

Even muted, I now have no more reason to watch. :(

Sunjaya getting anywhere near the top 12

Sanjaya staying is half that national nightmare. But I thought Phil would have been booted before Sundance.

I don't watch the show, but I caught the chubby guy butchering "Jeremy". That's not a Idol-poppy song.

Agreed. I am not sad that either of the guys went home; I just wish MORE of them could have gone.

I did think Sundance would likely make the top 12, but that rendition of Jeremy was certainly bad enough to get his ass thrown off the show .... and possibly kicked.

It's official. I hate all teenage girls now.

Man, this is going to be a rough top 12... I will be holding a vigil until Sunjaya is gone.

The top 12 really is rough. Sundance, even though he hasn't been great, was much better than Sunjaya's teeth!

Personally I could not be happier about Sundance getting the boot. I loved how American Idol intentionally upped his humiliation factor by putting up against Sanjaya. :up:

The only thing that would have made the moment better is if Sanjaya had turned to Sundance and said "That's ok, you can be my butler."

I actually think Sundance would have stayed if he had not received that undeserved praise he got from the judges this week.

Sanjaya isn't a good singer but he's at least a sweet kid and not a cocky asshole. His bad singing has been criticized by the judges while Sundance has been getting a pass all these weeks.

Sundance again showed his true colors tonight in the beginning when he scoffed at Simon's critique by claiming "that was what that song was supposed to sound like." Really? I thought "Jeremy" was supposed to sound like a good song.

I had Sabrina pegged as the most viable winner this year....best female vocalist with commercial/pop appeal. Melinda and Lakeisha are better singers, but don't see a market for them at all. I may not watch this show anymore now.

Yeah, I was not happy to see Sabrina go. She gave me a Gloria Estavan vibe, and I wanted to see what she would look like when the stylist got a hold of her and straightened her hair for a night or two.

I think that the announcement was for their April show with the final 6 and all the big name guests and sponsors for the fundraising event that should bring in unprecented amounts of charity for the poor in Africa and United States.

I know some will slam this, but I say good for them. It's the most watched show in USA so it will raise a ton of money. How can anything be wrong with that.

That is of course if people are still watching because Sunjaya made the top 12.

Oh puke. You're right, he isn't a good singer. He STINKS. And he's absolutely painful to watch. He's such a waif, he makes Clay Aiken look like Henry Rollins.

People we're watching when JPL and John stevens we're slumming it up on american idol, making it as far as the top 6-8

I hope Gina gets booted next week so I can stop watching this fucking piece of shit show.
