Jericho - "Heart of Winter" - 3/7/07

Not a bad episode tonight, not quite as good as the last two. The story with Hawkins is getting kind of annoying - we know he and his "company" have tons of answers to what happened, but they aren't concentrating on that at all, and instead just worrying about the people trying to take him out. I'm sure we'll get more on what's happening in the next couple eps, now that the hitman isn't after him anymore. Although it's obvious what's going to happen - the girl decides to no rat Hawkins out, but Hawkins kills her because he thinks she is.

For the people walking from Dakota - wouldn't it be a lot quicker to walk to the Pacific?

Unless you are a total moron you shouldn't need a sign along the side of the road to tell you which way is east at dusk.

Hawkins story was interesting when the show came back, but it's losing steam.

The town never seems to run out of booze.

You want them to go over the Rockies?

True, and while it would never occur to all the drunks, generators can be run on ethanol. The entire town could be powered forever by the unlimited booze.

They'd be better off finding a boat and taking Missouri River from South Dakota, past Nebraska, merging into the Mississippi and going to New Orleans. A lot better than crossing the Rockies in winter.

It's all downstream, so they don't need an engine, just a way to fend off from obstacles (poling, limited rowing, crude sail, any thing that gives some minimal velocity relative to the water.)

Pretty decent ep. I'm actually getting into this show, I thought all hope was lost in November, but it's rallied.

Looking forward to see where they are going to take it.

Also, looked like they gave us a tease with Hawkins wife.

Who did not see the girl being part of the hit team, even before last week's episode?

Why didn't they just jump on the end of the truck sticking up in the air to relieve the pressure on Jake so he could get out from under it?
