They just canned the head writer for All My Children, who just recently canned one of their veteran characters by having her eat some poison pancakes. Seriously. There was another 30 year veteran they canned without even a "farewell" scene. Guess she just went out for a loaf of bread?

ABC's using the low ratings/high salary excuse, but they don't realize that it starts at the top - if the writing sucks, why would people watch (Yes, I know it's a soap, but still).
