I'm all for dialogue and plot and such, but when it's the same thing over and over... (Morris, you need to go home! "No, I'm good, let me do my job...") It was like I was watching Groundhog Day or something!

Two people used the word boring to describe this episode, and neither one of them said it was because Jack wasn't "killing off bad guys in crazy gun fights and torturing people." But hey, don't let simple things like that stop you from putting words in their mouths.
We're complaining because the "plot" has become absolutely ridiculous, to the point of where it's almost a parody. We're complaining because many of the actors this season are not capable of the roles they've been placed in.
Pay attention in the future, ok?

I don't know about anyone else but I am downright sick and tired of the Chloe/Morris crap, this was the worst episode yet.....I wish someone would put a bullet in Morris' egghead and get him off the show....

I'll still finish watching this season but year 24 seems like a cold and lifeless shell of its former self. I can only continue to watch a dried-up husk decay in front of my eyes for so much longer.
It started off pretty good but this show's been on a downhill course all year.

Let's see. . . In the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, one character is dealing with unresolved issues with his father and two other characters are dealing with the horrors of alcohol abuse. Did I tune into Jericho by mistake?

I keep holding out hope, because last season I think we were still complaining about how things were dragging along, etc, at this point. A lot of us were heavily bitching about Itzen's portrayal of a wishy-washy wimp president. Then when he turned evil we were all going "holy shit, this is great!!!!"

I actually thought Wayne was trying to turn the corner in this episode. The whole "veiled threat" to the Ambassador was right in his Lethargic Whisper of Doom wheelhouse. No Jack = poor reviews always. And I would agree, we care less and less about these characters. Drone airplanes? Nuclear suitcase bombs? Who needs that when you can sneak a bomb under the President's podium in less than an hour. 24 has become like James Bond films were in the 80's-90's, complete cartoon. Would like to see the producers try a grittier return like Casino Rolayle did; something more along the lines of S1 - w/o the amnesia.

Other than season one, when hasnt the plot been ridiculous? I don't think people just like a episode when someone dies, But I think people tend to forgive a episode that they might otherwise trash, if Jack kills a few.

We need another Tony, Jack can't carry this show alone anymore. I love Bauer, but its been a bit of overkill, and I did not mind him being dialed down this ep.
We need another guy in the field, since Curtis was wasted, there is a huge void.
When is Ricky Schroeder coming in to ride to the rescue?

After a nuclear bomb goes off a main character calls her ex-husbands sponsor to discuss a recurring drinking problem.
How retarded a plotline is that?
Can't wait for Jack to make an appointment with his podiatrist to cure his athlete's foot in next weeks episode.

Or Hobbit's Druggie Sister, or whats her bucket's daughter...or kim and the cougar.
etc etc etc. every season has those idiotic side relationships. The only one that worked was chloe and edgar ;( rip.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble with this season. I can barely even remember what is supposed to be happening from one hour to the next. The characters are lifeless and uninteresting, and the story is no longer providing any tension or suspense. It will take a HUGE turnaround in the second half for this season to not be a total flop.

man, what a bunch of whiners! It's still the best show on TV and we all know it....sheesh

We can overlook some bad plot points if the rest of the writing is good. So far other than the intensity of a few scenes the writing has been poor.

Wrong, thank you for playing. The Shield, while running neck and neck w/ 24 over the years, pulled ahead last year and by all indications will blow 24 out of the water this season.
As for your "whiners" comment, I guess you're a whiner also... does this look familiar to you??
"For me, Lost started its downward spiral about 2/3 of the way through its 1st season. Heroes is at that point right now. It's been spinning its wheels the last few weeks"

Seriously though, my biggest complaint about this season is that we've seen this all before. It's like the writers just said "Okay, we know this works...let's do it again." Total lack of originality and creativity this year.
