They show that Bennet works for the Company, but they don't tell us why or what the Company actually does. They say they protect people, but we don't know why or how. Claude works with them, we don't know why or how. Claude needed to be killed, we know why, but we don't know who he is protecting.

We see Claire being given to Bennet, apparently after "the fire." The circumstances of the fire, and Claire's mother or The Company's involvement in it, are still unknown. Hiro's father is in this scene, so he is connected to the Company, but we don't know how or why.

Parkman appears to (as Claude did) be agreeable towards working for The Company voluntarily. What's in it for the "heroes"? Do they know what happens to people like Ted?

Heroes dangles the carrot just as much as Lost does, they just choose smaller carrots.
I think you answered your own question. This episode did reveal a lot of things. Sure it didn't spell out everything for us, but it moved the story forward. That's a lot more than Lost has been doing lately.

I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. I think this show has gotten better each week, I was fairly lukewarm towards the show at the Christmas break, but since they've returned each ep has gotten better and better.

I think I have to rethink my strategy of watching 24 first and Heroes 2nd.. I think Heroes may deserve first attention.

Great Ep!

So now everyone knows the Haitian can speak, right? I don't remember specifically if he spoke in front of the family (i think he did) but he certainly did in front of the mind reader.

Also, his power is the ability to pluck memories from other people's minds... does that mean he's not responsible for nullifying powers? I suppose he can remove memories of how to use the power, but that didn't seem to be what he was doing earlier, especially when he was creating static for the mind reader. If he is able to nullify powers, why not nullify atomic caveman?

I did like the singular focus of this episode, but does that mean we'll soon have a Nikki or Mohinder centered ep? I hope not.

The fact that HRG told the Haitian exactly where to shoot him so that he wouldn't die made me think that he also shot Invisible guy so that he wouldn't die either. Either that, or he's a really bad shot, because he seemed to plug him at point blank range 3 or 4 times.

Even thought it was cheesy, I liked the use of black and white for the flashbacks... i think it could have confused some people if they didn't do that, since the adult characters don't really age besides the glasses thing.

I also liked that Sulu is in on it, because otherwise the whole thing between Hiro and his dad seemed kinda pointless.

Well yeah. When he's leaving the rooftop patio, Kaito Nakamora says something like "Come on, Hiro. Let's go."

I think with all that HRG man has seen and been through - that a guy deciding to speak for the first time in 15 yrs is not at all shocking.

I seem to remember him saying something the the Hatian like "now is the time to let me know what you told her" or something like that - meaning Now is the time, more than ever, to Speak Up!

I could be wrong - just the impression that I got

I don't think HRG was shocked that the Haitian could talk. He basically attacked him in the hall and said "guess who found out you can talk!?" like it was supposed to be their secret. That's just my take on it.

not sure if somebody noted on this.

I thougth HRG guy intentionally shoot the invisible man at the 'exact' spot, where 2 inch lower/higher would kill the invisible man..... maybe HRG guy 'kinda' intentionally let the invisible man live.. well not totally live, but if he was alive. HRG guy would be.. alright.. go on and be invisble the rest of your life..

HRG shot Claude twice very high in his torso, once on his right and then on his left.

Yes. And in an earlier episode when Bennet commented on the roof patio that he was surprised he was still alive... now we know why, Bennet covered up his execution as well. Allowing him to become invisible before falling off the bridge, Bennet gained plausible deniability in terms of knowing if Claude was dead.

If the hatian guy erases nikki's memory of her sister, will her power be gone?

I would doubt it. Also, I don't think he could erase that unless he basically destroyed her mind/memory completely. We did see Nikki momentarily use the 'Jessica' super strength a couple episodes back.

It was always my understanding that her power was basically super strength/agility. She has this power as both Jessica and Nikki, she just only ever uses it as Jessica due to her illness. As a human being, she suffers from a mental illness . . . split personalities. In order to cope with things, her "bad" side takes over any time she uses her powers. I think if the memory of her sister was erased, her mental illness may be cured, and she'd just have to re-learn a way to control her powers. She wouldn't be left powerless. That made sense in my mind. Hopefully it makes sense to everyone else (even if you disagree).

How are Parkman and HRG still alive or at least not dieing from radiation sickness? I mean nuclear man killed his wife just by touching her causing her cancer when he was nuking out, but Parkman and HRG got zapped by him while he was in meltdown mode.

I think the wife was exposed to him emitting low levels of radiation over a prolonged period of time. They saw heavy doses at once. Parkman apparently was hurt, doesn't seem that HRG was though.

Yeah, but Parkman looked OK when they showed him in the bed which leads me to believe that they are just going to say that when he got blasted and hit the wall he got a bump on his head. HRG seemed fine as well which I still find confusing. I get what you are saying about low levels over a period of time, but come on. Basically these guys were standing in a nuclear reactor for more than several minutes and nothing?

He announced on the Howard Stern show, that they liked him so much in his initial appearance, they wrote him in for more scenes. Awesome to see how they did it.

i know it won't make brent_mn happy, but the new ladies on the show are alot hotter than mini bilison.

maybe they made nuclear man look like the geico man because it was so easy a caveman could do it. haha. i mean, cavemen did figure out how to create fire.

It looks like Eric Roberts has gone to the same plastic surgeon that turned Ray Liotta's face into a mask.

But that doesn't explain why she has that tatoo when she's Jessica but not when she's Nikki.

His hair was more distracting than his face, IMO.

Well if Thompson (Eric Roberts) has returned, the initial plan which was to incarcerated, disect and study the mutants is back on track. Hence, Parkman is being sedated for the time being to prevent him from using his powers.

I think Eric Roberts was suggesting that Parkman would be a good new partner for HRG. I'm sure they'll be checking out Nuclear Ted more as he was isolated and sedated, unlike Parkman.
