Good self-deprecating humor by Downey Jr.

Daytripper 02-25-07 09:21 PM

"Superman Returns" should win this. But the suck ass "Pirates" will.

"All just a typical night for me in the mid-90's." rofl

Naomi Watts...

POTC should win this one without too much trouble.

skatefan20 02-25-07 09:21 PM

Naomi looks like Cate Blanchett when she won her Oscar two years ago, with an altered version of the yellow dress.

The only funny thing to come out of that...too much 'unfunny' time though.

Visual Effects: Pirates of Caribbean

RichC2 02-25-07 09:22 PM

Such a bad movie, but nice effects.

Seeker 02-25-07 09:23 PM

It WAS a bad movie - I could barely get through it.

Trendy Man: It's an exceptional painting.

Thornton Melon
: Oh, the painting.

Nice. A "Back To School" reset.:)

I think the editing award is better suited for Children of Men.

who cares if that guys mom wanted him to be a doctor?

sucks for those other guys that didn't get to say anything. stupid music.

non-steady cinematography is a tough sell.

but see, thats what blew me away about it. Those scenes were incredible.

Say what you will about the merits of POTC as a film, but the effects were easily the best of the year. A cut above Superman's, and I loved Superman.

Catherine Denueve still looks gorgeous.

Daytripper 02-25-07 09:24 PM

Catherine D. is still fucking gorgeous.

Ian Whitcombe 02-25-07 09:24 PM

I haven't seen Dead Man's Chest, but I wasn't that impressed with the effects for Superman Returns. So this seems fair.

Hokeyboy 02-25-07 09:24 PM

I'd still jump at the chance to bang Catherine Denueve... just outta general principle.

Same with Helen Mirren and Linda Lavin.

worrywort 02-25-07 09:24 PM

To quicken the pace, they need to install airport people-movers in the aisles.

Deftones 02-25-07 09:25 PM

Can I get some subtitles here?

Beat you to it again. ;)

Some good movies here, no doubt. not a bad presentation.
