I thought it would be good.
So do we get to find out what the 5 on his tattoo means? Nope.

If people are complaining about this show then I assume they don't watch anything else on TV? Because for all it's faults it's still more intelligent than almost anything else on. Frankly, I think the ratings should go down, it doesn't make any sense that a show this intelligent should be popular. Sad but true.

In the beginning.....
This show was intelligent = 22 million viewers
in the now....
This show has become stupid = 12 million viewers
You do the math.... please.

Is there a fan site or perhaps a message board thread that keeps track of all the unanswered questions in Lost? I seem to remember it a while back but I'm not sure.

I'd love to see a list of all the DVDtalkers that have renounced this show. Just so we can track to see if they post again on the show after they claim that they are no longer watching. My bet is that most of the people saying goodbye to Lost dont have the balls to stick with it.

The reaction of both the supporters and the detractors just amuse me at this point. It's becoming pretty evident that there is plenty of stuff we want answers to that the producers have thrown out there for giggles with no intention of dealing with at a later point. I also think it's pretty apparent that they do have some sort of plan for some portion of the questions they have raised. It's a mixed bag. I wish I could say I expected better, but the TV shows that do a better job of it than that are few and far between. They'll continue to alienate some of their peak audience and will continue to satisfy a bunch of those people as well. It is what it is.

I'm not missing a single episode between now and the series finale. Nor have I missed one up till now. This still beats most shit (Heroes, 24, Prison Break) on TV.

Heroes? You mean the show with the mystical, unexplained connections between the characters, the cute little black kid with special powers, the sweet, innocent girl named Claire and the dark, mysterious man who says very little but yet poses a potentially huge threat?

Heroes plotting has not been good this year. Nikki and her family have been boring all season and they ways they've found to keep Hiro busy until his next been plot arc have been laughable at best. Heroes is good, but it's no Lost.

I think Heroes probably has the same level of audience satisfaction right now that LOST did in its first season. Where does Heroes go after it (appears to) deliver on everything it promised by the end of the first year? Will it continue to be compelling?
That said, Lost had the gift of making the imagination run wild, but also created expectations for resolution which it has yet to fill. Unfortunatley, there's also limited space to work when you're confined to set main characters and a set locale. Heroes has the potential to be the longer running series, Lost can still pull out and be the more satisfying... it just really needs to fire some writers. They've also been painfully neglecting the most interesting character on the show (the island).
The cages in Lost didn't bother me until this last episode. If I never see that mini-island again, it'd be too soon.
