Loved the ending with Nate and him using his powers.

Neither knew Simone was there, so it is hard to blame either of them.

God, I hope not. The man hasn't done anything worthwhile since about 1973. I'm surprised he's even still alive; isn't he like 103 by now?

No, it's quite easy to blame Isaac for firing a gun without looking where he was aiming.

Not only that but it also appeared that time was slowed down for all of them. When they got up from the bus, they were surrounded by police and more than just 1 squad car. Where did they come from all the sudden? Probably, someone heard gunshots and called 911 but that is record response time.

Raul3 02-20-07 10:14 AM

Good to see the Stan Lee cameo. In the initial credits I saw his name, so I was looking for him the whole episode. So first the Star Trek guy (I'm not a trekkie, so I couldn't enjoy that) and now Stan Lee, and I guess every episode is filled with winks or surprises for comic book fans.

The episode was great, everything happened. The story advanced a lot. I can't wait for next week.

when is the next break?

slop101 02-20-07 10:36 AM

BTW, Net-girl is smokin' hot - WAY hotter than mini-Bilson.

What's the actress' name? What else has she been in?
And who wants to post some pics?

Stana Katic

no need to be comparing. they can each be hot. :p

Net-girl :hump:

Kal-El 02-20-07 11:37 AM

Great episode. That was cool when Peter got the hang of his powers. And I too, think that Nate's comment was a dig on Lost.

kiddk1 02-20-07 12:11 PM

excellent episode, net girl is hot but they could of thought of a better power, seems like they couldnt think of anything else.

It's not a bad power -

1) she could set up bank accounts with millions of dollars, walk in to the bank and withdraw it

2) Whe can gain VALID access to secure locations and walk right in the front door to secure military / private instilations

3) She can be a FBI, COP etc.. she just needs to enter herself in thier system.

4) She can have any credential in the world - she could update MIT's records to say she graduated with a PHD in 1992.

While she isn't "Strong" she could live the best life of all (Wealth, Pedigree, Fame etc.) all in plain sight.

There was another small thing I noticed tonight too - cause I'm a HUGE nerd mostly.

Radioactiveman's IM handle was TeddyBear616. The regular - as in not alternate reality/ultimate/future/etc - Marvel universe is known as the "616 Universe" on account of the first issue of Fantastic Four being published in June 1961, essentially starting the Marvel Universe as we know it.

wildcatlh 02-20-07 12:45 PM

Her power is far greater than that though (spoiled in case for some reason people think the webcomic is a spoiler)

Spoiler:
She can pull ANY information that's out there in the data stream. She doesn't just have access to get on the internet, she can see what other people are doing on the internet. In this week's webcomic, she shows up in Vegas, busts in on a guy who was filming a 14-year old girl undressing to broadcast on the internet, and then sent e-mails to the police to arrest not only that guy, but everyone that was watching over the net.

philo 02-20-07 01:38 PM

Thanks Count Dooku for the rundown on the ending. :)

:D I live in a town without traffic lights. The telco ran new wire by here last summer so hopefully DSL will be available this year. No doubt radioactive guy has a faster connection living where he does. :o

bigsoos 02-20-07 01:57 PM

So who does Mr. Bennet work for?

Gotta be Linderman right?

Patman 02-20-07 02:13 PM

I'm thinking it's also Linderman.

Does anyone here think that Linderman is a Female?

pinata242 02-20-07 02:19 PM

Since Nathan was abducted by Bennet in his Vegas hotel room during an encounter that was arranged by Linderman, I think that is pretty well obvious unless I'm misremembering the chain of events when Jessica and he done did it.

The bullet was already fired, he "unfires" it and Dauber comes in and changes the course of action. It doesn't make sense to me at face value.

Unless Hiro was able to reverse time ONLY for the bullet and sent it back into the chamber but everyone and everything else continued on the same linear path. Or someone else stopped that bullet from killing Hiro...

When that happened, I also got the feeling that someone else was responsible for stopping the bullet via rewinding time-someone like Ando.

Fok 02-20-07 02:45 PM

Hopefully we'll see more of Ando, he's a good sidekick

During the Peter vs. Isaac scene, why was the painting of Hiro vs. the dinosour still there? Isn't that the one Hiro is carrying that his dad ripped?

I can't wait for the inevitable Peter vs. Sylar battle! You know its gotta happen!

judging from this episode, Peter is going to whoop Sylar's ass.

Peter can fly, regenerate, stop/slow time, become invisible, has telekinesis, some crazy voice power, paint the future, possibly more.

Sylar seems awfully arrogant too, I doubt he'd be ready for a real fight

good selection of females on this show (but that's stating the obvious).

peter vs. sylar will be an awesome fight.

zuffy 02-20-07 07:56 PM

Peter has more power than Sylar. Basically, he will have everything Sylar has + the people he came across. Peter would total kick Sylar's ass if he can control the powers.

She showed up on 24 for a few episodes last season and I was definitely checking her out. Unfortunately it was during the time that
Spoiler:
Tony Almeida was offed, so I wasn't really in the best of moods.

slop101 02-20-07 08:34 PM

Weird - I've seen those episodes of 24, but I don't recal her at all, yet on this show, she knocked me on my ass immediately.

the big train 02-20-07 08:37 PM

Yeah, Peter should be able to do everything Sylar can do, except "melt" metal and hear everything. Peter would pick those things up when they next meet.

Patman 02-20-07 10:05 PM

Sylar can freeze folks, does Peter even know he can do the same?

I don't believe that was the painting that he had, but now I can't recall what the painting was.

Some of the heroes are getting a wee bit too powerful. They seemed to pull back a little bit by limiting Hiro's power, but eventually they're going to get to a point with Sylar and Peter where they're going to have to introduce their own form of Kryptonite.

I think it was, actually. I seem to remember seeing the dinosaur one being torn up by Hiro's father.

I didn't think it was the dinosaur painting that was destroyed either but I could be wrong...

Yeah, it's boring to watch seemingly omnipotent people compared to watching those with weakness to overcome. I bet there's a lot more to this whole gene thing though and I could see a couple of paths that Kring could go down at this point that would be fantastic if done right. I won't get into them here but I'll just say that I bet there's a much bigger problem on the horizon with the newly discovered gene that the Heroes will have to band together to solve.
