Sarah Silverman Program - Humanitarian of the Year - 2/8/07

So are they airing these out of order? IMDB lists this episode as the sixth episode in the season. Officer Jay was episode two and the pilot was aired in June 2006. I missed the pilot. What's up with that?

On Conan, Sarah showed a clip from an episode where she is being followed around by a ghost, and she said it was the 2nd episode. I haven't watched this one yet, so I don't know if that's this one.

yeah I saw her say that. Why are they doing it like that?

It drives me nuts when networks do that. I assume they picked out what they thought were the three strongest episodes to air first - nevermind the fact that the writers surely intended the pilot episode to be the one to introduce the characters. The same thing was done with Andy Richter Controls the Universe.
I know it's "just a sitcom," but I'm sure we have to look forward to Laura being married to Officer Jay in episode 5 and then complaining that she hasn't been with a man in years in episode 6. And I can't wait until the neighbors come out of the closet.

Unless she's a newly wed in episode 6.

So far, I'm not impressed with this show. I like how Sarah is so non-politically-correct in her comedy, but queef jokes alone don't make something funny, especially not for 30 minutes.
For Mr. Show fans: Jill Talley played the ghost in this episode.

Oh but yeah Last Dragon was pretty cool (I felt so lame for getting the reference though)

I like the show, especially the gay couple. But the "shock" bits, like the queef and the dog boner "joke" at the end are unnecessary and smack of lazy writing.

The first show as OK. Loved this one. Thought it was frequently hilarious, as well as a lot of fun (between the creepy ghost, and fight at the end).
Though not given any good lines, Zach Galifianakis cool-as-always.
There's certainly a big gap between lots of the crappy cancelled Comedy Central shows, and this one. Maybe they can get a good 20-30 episodes out of it. Though I'm not expecting much.
