So my fiance and I have been watching What About Brian since the pilot and this season has moved the show into our top 5 shows on TV (Rome, 24, Scrubs, and the office are the others). I did a search and didn't find any posts about any episodes in a long time and was wondering if anyone else was still watching it.

In my opinion, the characters are well-defined, the dialogue is funny, and unlike most other JJ Abrams shows, this one appears to have a direction. Yes, it is a little bit of a "beautiful people on display" show, but these characters have started to strike a chord with me as a person close to the characters' ages and situations.

I love the show. It's very funny and moving week after week. I love the addition of Bridgette and think she's great (and smoking hot). I hear ratings are still low, ABC is shortening the season order to 19 eps (from the original 22) which is not a good sign. If this gets axed, I'll seriously miss it.

I wish people would give this show a chance, they'd probably be surprised (and if you've tried it before, try it again, it's much better currently than ever before). Tiffani Thiesen is coming on in a few weeks, maybe that will lure some more viewers in.

I think my wife is finally going to drop it. And I am encouraging her every step of the way.

I find myself watching my recording of it a week behind the current episode. I think it did perk up when Krista Allen showed up as Bridget. Haven't seen last night's episode, but I was cringing for Marjorie in last week's desperate outreach for Adam (now married to a stripper). It's soapy for the late 20's/early 30's crowd. I do wish they'd write Rosanna Arquette's role out of the show, though.

Much Much better this season. I almost dropped this show and then it changed. The writers removed the video game nonsense and the chick show vibe. Now its a solid and balanced drama. The addition of new cast members who can act, helped a lot.

I gotta say Sarah Lancaster drags the show down, just like she did on Everwood.

Yeah, even thought Sarah Lancaster kept showing up in the opening credits, I did not miss her Marjorie character much at all for her 2- month hiatus from this season. Marjorie needs to find a new groove.

Yes, I agree about poor Sarah Lancaster getting written into a poor character, but the Adam/Stripper/Marjorie situation is one that a lot of people can relate to.

Last night's development with Adam was certainly not what I was expecting and I think it was quite admirable that the writers didn't go down the "tried and true" storyline.

Patman - you'll enjoy this past Monday's show...she doesn't even make an appearance!

I love the show and once it and Rome goes...what will I watch regularly besides South Park?

I agree with the above poster stating the writers did well on Adam's behalf by not taking the predictable route. I just find this show fresh and funny. All the characters behave like real people and the guy's interactions/dialogue is generally spot on. What About Brian fills a nice little hole that is missing on all the networks.

It is so much better than the corny turd called Grey's Anatomy that my wife insists on watching. How it is so popular, I will never understand.

This is a show of constant coincidences. Marjorie and Adam are re-entering the room after having a private talk, just as Heather is opening the front door to Brian's Dad's mountain resort. Brian comes home early from work just as his girlfriend and sister are putting their clothes back on after an afternoon of lesbian sex. Ok, I made the second one up, but you know what I mean. I still watch the show, but the constant coincidences in a city as large as L.A., coupled with pretty poor acting by a number of the cast members make it difficult to take seriously.

I've watched this from the beginning and I absolutely ADORE this show.

The one you mention just looked like they were standing next to each other when Heather comes in and they look guilty as sin. She walked into the room where all of them are there...not just into a room where they are having a private talk. Didn't seem like a weird coincidence to me.

If you must mention one, the one where Brian, Adam, Heather & Bridget all show up at a restaurant that Deena & Majorie are dining at seemed awfully contrived to me.

I did chuckle at the episode last week where Adam complains to Brian that he did not know what he was going to do with Majorie in L.A. since he will likely run into her all the time. I live in Birmingham, AL (just a little smaller than L.A. ) and hardly ever run into anyone I know by coincidence. Other than some friend functions, which he could find out if she was going to attend, he could easily avoid her.

I faithfully watched this show last season and started it this season. But then one week a while back, I ran out of space on my DVR, barely recording any of that week's episode. I didn't want to watch an incomplete ep and realized that I didn't really have an overwhelming need to seek out the ep. After that, I realized I didn't really miss not watching the show and just dropped it. If it's ever released on DVD, I would maybe check out what I missed, but with so many other shows that I watch, I'm not too upset to have one more hour a week open.

I saw it here and there when it first came out, but I'd like to watch it straight through. Any idea if it will come out on DVD?

The last six episodes were the best of the show so far. But that still isn't saying a whole lot. I don't think there would be much outpouring of disappointment if it canceled. Guess we will have to wait for upfronts to find out.
