What abut Shmi? And Owen? And Beru?
Now that I think about it...that "Star Wars" list was stupid seeing as how it's woefully incomplete and incorrect. What was the point of it?

think greivous was half alien / half droid. kind of a nit pick.
the moe triplets were pretty funny.
probably reason why i like the episode was that it had a sort of halloween treehouse feel to it with the three different tales.

A twisted melding of flesh and metal, General Grievous' body is a deadly weapon forged by the cutting edge developers of the Confederacy. Grievous' living matter was encased within his precision-engineered artificial body; inside the hardened carapace beat the heart of a remorseless killer. A pressurized gut-sack held his vital organs, while his skull-like mask contained his living eyes and brain. Making the horrific amalgam more unpleasant was a persistent wet, hacking cough coming from his ravaged lungs.
So why The Simpsons took the extra step to say "General Grevious (droid)" was overkill. They should have just said "General Grevious" and thats it.

That was more like something the manatees would pick for a Family Guy cut-away.
Is everyone here that big of a Star Wars nerd, where just throwing in a reference to it constitues a funny joke to you? sheesh...

I liked the Batman spoof.
Loved how they did a throw back to the Batman episodes of the 60's! All the Villians and Snake with his puns
Even my Girlfriend said that Jimmy Smits didn't die - That was a reach, but the people of Alderon should have been mentioned

I don't know about many laughs, but it was merely an ok episode.
As for the Star Wars reference, it was funny to me cause it caught me off guard. Even then, it wasn't that funny.

Yeah, guys, I know. I was well aware of when I was molding that last post that I was becoming the Star Wars Geek of the thread.
Yet I continued.....*sigh*.
The only reason that I was compelled to point all that out is because of conversations I've had with many folks that did not know/realize that when that "compartment" on Grevious opened it revealed organs. Most folks going in though he was 100% droid, end of story.
Yet we all know he was not. [/starwarsgeek]

They took the extra step so that people like me who only saw EP 3 once might remember who he is.
And by the way, what's up with the names of the villains in the new Star Wars movies? Count Dookie is Darth Tyrannus? The emperor is Darth Sidious? This guy is General Grievous? Were they just naming characters with the thesaurus?
Seriously, are they so light on character development that they have to actually give the bad guys adjectives as names?
Maybe if they do a sequel trilogy, the bad guy will be Baron Shitty von Asshole, aka Darth Douchebag.

I thought it was an OK ep. This was the first time Bartman was mentioned in many years (harking back to the good ol' days of the Simpsons) if I'm not mistaken.

I think the writers finished writing the episode (which was a great one) and said, "now, how do we keep the internet nerds from bashing this one, like they do every week? Distract them with something...Maybe get them to talk nonstop about it"
And they threw that in at the end.
{looks at above posts}
and it apparently worked!

For the people criticizing the star wars list, you sound like the wow fans bashing south park after "Make love not Warcraft". It's a joke! Stop being real life comic book guy. I'm a pretty big star wars geek, and I found it funny despite any flaws.

As for the episode, is The Count of Monte Cristo seriously like that? There are serious gaps in my classical literature studies, and this seemed fairly interesting.
